A few hours ago I bought f2f 43 bitcoins, I saw the guy make the transaction on his blockchain.info wallet but the transaction still shows up as unconfirmed:

http://blockchain.info/tx/15b8598124442ade3aeb087b785025f5551c4abf7b9ed37eb1e2c381c3e22a34

Is this a problem or there to much traffic slowing down the confirmations?

Thanks for any help !

Greetings Henk

It has zero fees, so it low on priority list and it may take weeks or even months before it is confirmed cause you need a miner to include it a block so they will take the ones with fees first.

Really weeks  Huh

Can I add a fee myself at this moment? Just to get the transaction processed faster?

Nope, you just have to wait for a miner to include it in a block. So just wait is all you can do now.

Don't worry the transaction will confirm. Most likely it'll be quick. There's no way for you to speed it up now. Practically speaking, you can't mine it.

Cheers!

thanks, the transaction was confirmed after 8-9 hours. No problem, next time i'll make sure there is a fee for the transaction.

That would depend on the bitcoin wallet client you use.

- snip -
what are the ways you put fees in the transactions?

Unfortunately, there isn't currently a reliable method for the receiver to add a transaction fee.  Prior to sender sending the transaction you have to let them know that you expect a particular fee as part of your transaction.
