@ALL,

I am also posting on behalf of Incognitoworker and his Team, he was in Hospital recently.
I am involved in this large Team and a new OP is on its way with full disclosure
of who the teams are in the coming 1 to 2 weeks and wanted to post this info again.

"As Incognitoworker Promised, We are taking over GLOBE for future greatness, revived the blockchain
and Bittrex will be relisting it most likely by Monday or early next week.

GLOBE is being reborn into greatness by a fantastic Team, this is the first step.
Support the Project. Support the Network by your mining GLOBE.
In the coming days and weeks there will be further announcements.
NOTE:
This is not some scam takeover of a scam we are all too familiar with.
This is legit, a long term project.
Happy Mining!
 Smiley"

MINING-QuiBit-simplified version:
Get mining in a few simple steps.

To start mining Global:
1) Download the global.zip from: https://mega.nz/#!4IZGjTiD!0ztfvJKEE_GtV-f4zxuzw4qVNo-27Oit4UE8IFpj_sA
2) Extract to %appdata% ( c:\users\<user id>\appdata\roaming
3) Download the Miner.zip from : https://mega.nz/#!hNRiwQCL!5YNx0LZQZJ9vb5nlXmLQ2_f0cA9CWuw0BdEGIlDC0RU
4) extract to c:\
5) Doubleclick c:\global\global-qt.exe to open the wallet
6) Wait for it to sync the blockchain
7) Double click c:\global\miner.bat to start mining

MINING-QuiBit-full manual:

1) Download the wallet.
2) Extract the zip into a directory - eg c:\global
3) open DOS box, cd to your directory and run: global-qt -addnode=216.165.179.42 -addnode=216.165.179.43 -rpcuser=user -rpcpassword=password -rpcport=19556 -server
4) That'll start the wallet and have it accept mining requests.
5) Download the miner from: https://github.com/tpruvot/cpuminer-multi/releases

github.com
tpruvot/cpuminer-multi
cpuminer-multi - crypto cpuminer (linux + windows)
6) Extract it to a directory - eg c:\global\miner
7) cd to that directory and run: cpuminer-x64.exe -o http://localhost:19556 --userpass=user:password -a qubit
Cool Congratulations you're now mining - or will be when the wallet syncs. You may need to restart it a couple of times to complete the initial sync, it gets hung up sometimes.

Here is a workable version of the .conf:
Some could figure it out.
More detailed instructions to follow...

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

How come there are no posts? Is no holder from the original globe even interested?

I mined some while rewards were high and now I'm staking for equally high rewards.

Lets hope it really is restored to greatness. I hope high supply does not make price be just a few sat

I don't know anything about lost coins of bittrex. In fact I only found out about this coin yesterday.

it seems currect supply is about 91-92 million from old blocks + recent pow/pos

Can we have an estimate of the supply at the moment we reach the final 5 per block reward stage?
And how long it will take to get there?

I can calculate it from the info given but it takes time and I'm sure people would be interested so it should be in the OP

Also, you don't even mention that it can be gpu mined, you only mention cpu mining

As for my comment on the lack of posts, I know you cannot answer, I just find it strange

Yes I know it can be gpu mined and I know the reward for each specific block. Did you understand the point of my questions?
He has multiple sections describing mining methods and only mentions cpu. Why?
He has a detailed reward per block but no mention of total supply and no mention of target for block time. Are we all supposed to derive that ourselves by calculating sums and observing average block time?

The post is seriously lacking in info. It should be a lot more clear.

Is something wrong?

Reward has dropped to 0 for mining and very small for POS (less than 1 globe each stake).

Perhaps a bug in the source?

What about exchanges?

What good would exchanges do at this point? The coin right now has 0 value.

If the team actually starts working on it and the projects is not dead before even launching properly, then exchanges will make sense.

LOL I'm probably wasting my time, but with a single GTX750 I own half the network hashrate  Grin

I don't get why devs would bother making such an ambitious announcement, actually taking the time to provide a blockchain file and changing the algo (ie doing work) and disappear without a trace.

If they changed their mind, a post to announce the coin is DOA would be nice.

silverleafy is regularly online, I can see that. Any comments at all?
