It usually isn't a good idea to buy hardware wallets on the secondary market, even if the original packaging is unopened and the security seal is present, as it is possible that the device has been somehow tampered with that would make it possible for the person previously in possession of the device to steal funds from the new owner.

I understand that this is somewhat of a collector's item, however I would think that many people would also end up using this to store their BTC.

If the OP is who I think he is, then I believe him to be trustworthy enough to not tamper with the trezor (still use escrow and take precautions), however I still think that trading these things on the secondary market is not a good idea.

You can always just download the latest firmware from Trezor.

Our family was terrorized by Homeland Security.  Read all about it here:  http://www.jmwagner.com/ and http://www.burtw.com/  Any donations to help us recover from the $300,000 in legal fees and forced donations to the Federal Asset Forfeiture slush fund are greatly appreciated!

If it's unopened, it will have the tamper-evident sticker on the package, wouldn't it? Therefore a picture the box signs be sufficient to tell if the trezor itself has been changed.

looking for a signature campaign, dm me for that

Also, there is really no way to take it out of the box without destroying the box.

The criticism is not unwarranted, due to the nature of hardware wallets. I originally purchased this item as a collectors item and I was hoping to find a buyer with the same mindset. Although it is up to the buyer, as the item has not been opened (as I knew this would reduce its value).

I took the best picture of the tamper-evident sticker that I could. I can also provide order confirmation emails or an authenticity certificate to escrow. Anything that will help provide confidence.

Is that price fixed? Are you willing to negotiate any lower for this? I understand that it's a collector's item, but the value of the hardware itself is less that $50, I dunno if it  having a collector's value will boost the price by a more than $1.5k...

Someone linked me to this on another thread similar to this one when i asked the same sort of questions:

Price is fixed. Although the fiat value has gone up, I'm taking less than 0.2 BTC on the sale (it cost roughly 2.41 BTC). This also includes shipping, so the premium is razor thin. It is also the cheapest unopened metal trezor on the market.

Is the asking price of 2.6BTC still valid from the OP or has it been lowered?

Responded. I have set the new price as 1.3 BTC. As stated, the trezor has now been opened but I still consider this to be an important piece of BTC history.
