If we're 100% correct, it wasn't.
You can only win one category, which is the technology category in the case of mj.
Regardless whether the tie was being broken in favor of mj or you, you would have won the misc category.
If a user wins 2 categories, they are chosen winner in the one with the most votes and the other category moves to the user with the second most votes.
You were winner even before cjb announced the winners of the ties.

Anyhow, this is supposed to be fun and I'm riding the rules again, doh!
