Real mining is simply a waste of money without special equipment. HYIP (including HYIPs that claim they are mining) are simply a scammish way to lose money.

If they suddenly become a scam, I'd try to get it back, but then ultimately learn the lesson and move on. Don't involve yourself in these ways of losing money.

Isn't the same, but its easy to loose money on both. In the Hyip side, you will find lots of ponzis to stole your money. On mining you can buy a miner (and loose money if you don't have a very cheap electricity price) or investing on cloud mining ( normaly ponzis where you can loose your money too.

HYIP = High-Yield Investment Program. legit cloud mining sites (I don't know about now but they exist once upon a time.) are not HYIP. fake cloud mining sites (ponzi) can be described as HYIP.

in case you're not talking about cloud mining: bitcoin mining are not HYIP.

HYIP's are just plain scam websites. They lure in gullible investors with flashy promises of very high interest rates for a very short amount of time but these programs operate on the money deposited by the first investors and they may pay some profits in the beginning to appear legtimate but after a while the owners can just close shop and run with everyone's money and you can't do a thing to get your cash back. If you meant mining as in cloud mining well these websites are not outright scam but their advertised expected profits are way off if you consider the increasing difficulty and their maintenance fees. You will be lucky to break even and make a small profit off your initial investment. I think you have the highest chance to make a profit by buying some graphics cards yourself and mine some alt coin when it's on the pump then sell everything before the bubble bursts and you have made a pretty nice chunk of money

I don't think that HIYIP AND MINING are the same.
 HIYIP is more like cloud mining.
When you invest in cloud mining you are taking the same risk as if you were investing on a HIYIP. On the other hand if you have your own hardware working in your own instalations you will take a reduced risk and the opportunity to ROI.

Just because there are scam sites that prey on naive investors there is no reason to assume that scamming, HYIPs and mining are all the same. Although the proportion of scams is immense, there can be HYIPs that are legit and just come with a high amount of risk. There have been many cloudmining-HYIPs that turned out to be scams, which is sad but not surprising if one considers the facts related to mining appropriately.

Mining exists not only within cloudmining scams. If desired, everybody can start his/her own 100% legit mining operation. However the question is if it will be profitable. Generating profit from mining is more difficult than in the past and nowadays there are mostly professional big operations with an optimized cost structure (cheap electricity among other things).

Mining is much profitable than hyip.. most hyip are scam so better to stay away on hyip sites..
Mining is for long term profit.. and hyip turning  into sccam after  24 hours

I would not choose both. both strong potential as a SCAM. I suggest you to make trades to get bitcoin. I remind you that the HYIP and cloud MINING is a scam.

Look at now, Some mining site adopts HYIP become their system. HYIP and Mining it's does not have a different for now. Mining wants to try to get a more profit from adopting HYIP system.

You can't even compare ponzi scheme scams(cause this is what hyips are) with mining process these are two totally different things.
Stay away from hyips and if you are able to start mining go for it.Also keep in mind that most of the so called cloud mining sites are ponzis scams aswell.

I still believe in the old saying, "if it is too good be true, then it is not true". I always see to it that whenever there's an offer that says they can give this amount back in a short period of time, I turn it down quickly. The sad thing is we always hear stories of people being scammed over and over. It is the greed for quick returns that blind people so easily.

99% cloud mining use ponzi scheme, i think "cloudmining and ponzi " it's same.

HYIP is always a money making scheme for the schemers who created them.

Cloudmining however good the intention to make money for its clients usually fail.  Rising difficulty, the halving, equipment wear and tear and obsolescence are the odds the cloudminers must get over.

Stay away from both.  I tried Cloudhashing back in the day.  Guess what, no profit.

IMO, no doubt that cloud mining is HYIP too so there is no difference between them  but some cloud mining might legit too; hastnest for example.

all HYIP is turning into scam , mining is better than hyip but other mining sites turn to scam better you should do some research in the site you invest before you invest some bitcoins.
