You please make a clear thread, what do you mean from mining? because we know there are two kinds of mining cloudmining and hardmining. but here I assume cloud mining, if wrong please let me know.
HYIP and CLOUDMINING i think it same, because when we are mining the result will be fewer hardware while with cloudmining will be faster return on investment. so we assume cloudming is an investment as well as HYIP.

I think HYIP and cloud mining is the same thing. But not the other forms of mining. The hyip market is down from quite some time now and the scammers are basically venturing in to cloud mining. The investment is also less and the return they have to pay to the investors, is also less compared to the crazy interest rate they used to give to the hyip investors.

But other forms of mining, are not hyip. It doesn't offer you a very high yield.

the bitcoins that hyip pays to you is from the other persons that they scam like doubler too they paying other people but the money is from the persons they scammed.

HYIP are designed to attract your attention by offering you unrealistic profit estimations and very high interest rates which are backed up by no actual business plan and these operations rely on the constant flow of people's money in order to pay out anything to the early investors. The late investors usually don't get anything because the stream of new capital flowing in could dry up at any time and the owners will eventually stop paying out dividends rendering the website a scam. It's not worth your time and money and I suggest staying away from these schemes.

Mining on the other hand could be profitable if you are doing it yourself because you could factor in the different variables like electricity costs, rising difficulty and the price of new and old hardware and maybe squeeze in a profit unlike cloud mining where you have a fixed price for a couple of months and you can't adjust anything regarding the hashing power you receive and your expected profit just depends on how much luck you will have in the long run.

I know a miner who is mining since two years now and still gets his 900$ profit per month. He has a solar powered farm which he updates constantly. Only today he is worried about the halving.

Not to say that with this price level he earns 40% more every month...

So what you said about HYIP is true, what is said about mining is untrue.

you are comparing apples and oranges here. HYIP is a scam and there is no argument about it but Mining is a business that you are investing and doing something (running mining equipment and mining blocks) to get paid. even if you are talking about cloudmining, it can be legit business and if it is scam then it can't be called mining it is ponzi.

Just take a look at the Service Discussion sector of this forum to see how popular this HYIPS-disguised as cloud minings are, they are collapsing one after another nowadays, and 100% of them are scam.
Cloud mining, there is only one legit Hashnest as it is supported by Bitmain creator of antminers but you will never make ROI with them because of difficulty increase and electricity maintenance fee, so in the end you will lose money here too.

If you want to invest money , both will make you lose money. So far the only profitable way to mine is buying yourself a nice rig with very nice GPU, latest ATI GPU to mine ethereum , you will come in profit if you have cheap electricity in your country.

Naturally HYIPs and cloudy Mining is a scam.
In my opinion, the differences in them are the following:
HYIPs live 1-3 months. Cloud Mining live longer, even to the 2 years they have existed. Famous hashocean already like 1.5 years there.

Well for my opinion hyip and mining is still the same.I can give as similiraties are the risk of putting money on them.We all know that  hyip's are form of ponzi scemes and for short term profit only.While mining are somewhat scam also but it is for long term profi and duration.Mining and hyip are both have the same risk level because anytime mining server and hyip head may run and scam people

For me, they are just almost the same.
HYIP pays high, but has higher risks.
Legit mining pays low. But as I said, it's legit.  

It's just basically like gambling.

If you're talking about cloud mining, then yes. Most of those are just ponzi schemes that are bound to collapse. They're like a toned down version of HYIP sites, and disguised in a new way.

However, if you're talking about physical mining, then no. You're pooling and earning legit money.

Many mining sites, use HYIP system become their system and then mining site will not make a profit for their customer for now. just running for sometimes to make their victim are interested in it and turn to scammer site after this.

Basically dont invest in both if you dont want to risk your btc, maybe you can try trading or focus here in signature campaign. You can earn by not risking your bitcoin in that scam sites (not all cloud mining)

certainly more people will choose to invest in mining. hyip scam can be easily when they do not get new investors. different from those mines will continue to live even with the bit. but the problem now many ponzi which turned into mining sites. you should be able to distinguish it. between Ponzi and the original mining sites
