Hi Guys,
Sent only my second ever BTC for a payment on 06/06/16 (first was done via mntgox)

only I seem to have sent it with a ZERO fee Sad

its been a few days (during which I've been able to see the address is being used), however, this morning, apart from my wallet - I can find NO record of my transaction at all

Will the missing BTC find its way back to me, or is it lost?

Details from wallets Transaction:
Status: 0/unconfirmed
Date: 06/06/2016 04:25
To: 14c9xgzuMhL7wt24F6cJrqidaCxoh1i2ZN
Debit: -1.00019198 BTC
Net amount: -1.00019198 BTC
Transaction ID: 6fd947cc28c9374da029c20bed5332ac460b10741956a187a110ed503fc275a3-000

Anyone able to tell me whats going on please?

Thanks

Are you the sender AND the receiver?
In that case, if a transaction is forgotten by the network, it should find it's way back to you.

Thanks for the quick reply,

NO, I'm not the receiver. I sold the BTC and its just not arrived/no confirmations.

so would it eventually find its way to the buyer?

If you are using the Bitcoin Core wallet, and you leave the wallet running, then it will re-broadcast the transaction eventually, and the transaction will then be seen on the network again.  Bitcoin Core will continue to do this forever.  It will not "find its way back to you".

you can shut down Bitcoin Core and start it back up with the zapwallettxes option to remove the transaction from your wallet so that it can't broadcast it any more.  If you do that, and the transaction has not yet confirmed, then you will see the bitcoins back in your balance.

Thanks,
I used the option you gave above on a restart, once it had checked the blocks.. the BTC had indeed appeared back in my wallet Smiley

I've resent it, using the fee the wallet said - any ideas on time for first confirmation? (saying now, broadcast through 12 nodes)

Again, Thanks Smiley

If you not receive bitcoin so your bitcoin has sent.

If you have the tx id, people can give a better idea.  If you used the suggested fee vs no fee, that is a positive.
