Using my main account as collateral, fine for notifying interested people who are also trusted what the account name is.

Has very HQ posts, can't say more than that without giving it away.

- legendary
- >1000 activity
- many thousands of posts
- defaultTrust level 2
- lots of dark green trust

Not looking to give this to someone who is going to scam.

There is no set repayment time. I don't know when I will be able to repay and you shouldn't assume I ever will (though I intend to, but I can't guarantee it. do not take this loan if you MUST be repaid, although I will try to but reserve the right to just let you have the account if I can't). I would say that the account is more trusted/HQ than Boelens' which was used as collateral for about 2.5 BTC total.

I think the loan would be fair collateral for about 2 BTC (that's a bit more than what I need, but I'm not going to give collat that I think is worth more than the loan).

Fine with giving BTC signed messages with the address most commonly associated with this account to confirm I will not be attempting to recover it.

PM me. If you're wondering why I deleted my last thread it's because it was essentially this, but I decided to change the section.

Not using self-moderated, I'm fine with all your criticism Wink

The interest rate on this that I would be willing to pay would be about 10% or so after 6 months (assuming I have the funds to buy the account back).

Not that I would want to encourage account trading in any form, but your estimate of the accounts worth is way off. There is someone trying to shift one with a BIN price of 0.70 in the actions section. The way it's worded means you are basically selling the account for a vastly over inflated price. The price of bitcoin has moved greatly in recent weeks so previous comparisons are difficult.

Explain how it's off. The price may have shifted slightly since then but you are comparing my account to a 0.7 BTC account. You don't seem to know what you're talking about.

I'm fine with telling people what the account is as I'm using it as collateral, and if they think 3 BTC is too much they're free to say that. But your claims seem to have no real basis.

If you're truly the person who was trustworthy enough on the legendary account to stick with the forum all those years and build up that rep, you should have no problem with using that account to get in touch with the contacts you know and ask around for the loan (or make a thread like this on that legendary account, either one works).

Best of luck finding this loan. (And if you're wondering, that's not sarcasm.)

If all else fails I'll do that. Need this for school so if I have to I will.

I understand 100% it is dodgy using an alt account. I will likely be contacting people on my main later today anyway.

Boelens was not worth 2.5 BTC, the only reason why I lent him that much was because I received what turned out to be bad advice that he could be trusted with 1,000+ euro.

No attempt was made to sell his account was because I knew it would not sell for the loan amount.

I believe that a DT account was recently sold for ~1.3 BTC in a trade that I was not involved in (this is taking the word of one of the parties to the transaction, however I would personally find him trustworthy enough to believe him).

I am curious to know the identity of the account you are trying to use.

How will you repay the loan? Do you have any incoming funds in the future?

How long till you let me have the account if you cannot repay?

Fair enough. Not looking to fake my way to a large loan then if I don't have the proper collat.

To point 4), PM me. I am curious of your opinions.

Was advised that I would have a more likely chance of getting a loan with this collateral by seeking 2 BTC, so that is now what I am seeking. Not looking to take a loan without collateral or a loan that is higher than the value of the account.

Payback date would likely be within the region of 6 months, with the account being transferred to the lender's possession permanently after that.

A loan that you don't have to pay back is otherwise known as a gift, a scam, or in this case an account sale.  And I suspect the reason you're using an alt account is because you don't want the main account to be ruined--because it's a sale not a loan.  How am I doing so far?

Extremely badly. I gave the name of the account I'm "selling" to someone already. I see you wanted to put the buzzword "scam" in there just for the sake of it, didn't ya?

EDIT: Also the interest rate on this that I would be willing to pay would be about 10% or so after 6 months (assuming I have the funds to buy the account back).

"Scam" around here isn't a buzzword,  it's a constant malignant presence.   And I didn't say you intended to scam, but when you tell a lender to expect to not be paid back, you're giving yourself an out that you wouldn't be giving if you promised to repay.  That's what it looks like from where I'm standing.   And if someone in fact does take control of your account,  they'll have a really good one wuth which to scam.  I can see potential scammers here just plotting exactly this as we speak.  I'm sorry, your pitch just sounds sketchy.   That's all I have to say and I'm done.

Edited to add:  Well hopefully it works out and I'm just being paranoid.   But I don't trust QS' s word on anything here.  Couldn't you have a more trusted member vouch for you?

I'm quite aware it is, believe me, more than you, but you are using it as a buzzword.

QS told me that I could probably just take a no collateral loan with the trust I have. If I was looking to scam, that's what I'd do. I am looking to repay - I don't particularly want to lose my account - but I just can't guarantee it. I would also try to ensure my account isn't scammed with, rather used for legitimate businesses (which happens).

Thank you for your input, though.

Why all the theatrics? Why the newbie account? Ask for the loan from your legendary account. You would have had the loan already (probably without collateral) AND you get to keep your account.

But you seem to be avoiding the easy and logical route. Hmmm.

Jesus Christ. I'm using collateral, I already made it clear that I may not be able to pay it back but I intend to - that's why I'm using collateral. As Quickseller told me in PM I could probably do this loan without collateral, but I am choosing to do it with collateral.

Lawl. This isn't a car loan or house loan.  2BTC is more of a payday type loan. And you aren't even sure if you can repay it?

Please enlighten us. In your whole life, from this point forward, why do you anticipate not being able to repay a $1000 loan?

If you actually read my posts, you'd probably know. At this point I'm getting rather sick of your heckling. Anyone who is interested can find out what my account is and then make their own decision.

Due diligence is heckling now? Beware, lenders: No questioning is allowed! Thus sayeth the newbie-legendary.

Still never got an answer to my question. What stops you from making the loan request from your legendary account? Nobody will neg-rep you for asking for a loan.

If people believe the account will be transferred they will.

At this point I'm more looking to get money for school expenses, whether it's a loan or sale, hence the other thread. In all fairness you raise some decent points, so I'm going to be locking this thread.
