South Africa based bitcoin exchange BitX has added new features to their exchange platform which will reduce slippage for larger trades and attract institutional investors who are looking to diversify into bitcoin using the South African Rand.

I travel to South Africa a lot as a gateway for work in Arica and might just have a look at this option... Do you have to be a South African citizen to use this exchange for the verification process? Glad to

see something positive coming from that side of the world. Now this exchange just needs to partner up with major retailers and merchants and I can start paying for coffee and goods at the Airport. On

some visits, I am not allowed to leave the Airport, but there are MANY shops...where I can pay with Bitcoin.. IF they only accepted it..  Roll Eyes .. I will have to get hold of these people, to convince them.

Pretty sure to deposit rand you will need to be a verified user. The exchange owners are very nice people. I spoke with them on several occasions late last year and always had good interactions with them.
