I'm planning on getting a fraction of a bitcoin. Maybe about 1/4 or 1/8 BTC just to fill my wallet with something. Is now a good time to do so?

For me , anytime you buy is the best time to buy . Because , bitcoin will be rise up soon.
Indeed , you must be patient to do this and not hoping for short-term because you don't know when the price is rise up.

Yeah it took years they are just surprise about the halving because price of bitcoin on that time is very high! They are just new in bitcoin world im new too im just almost a year in bitcoin but i notice about the rising of price is it takes a lot of time

first of all, it should take a long time to go up. if price went up overnight from 0 to $1000 that would have meant a pump and dump and that will always fall back down so fast.
but also the rise did not take years. it has been growing with a nice pace. from last year to this year price has gone up $400+ which is a good rise.

i think yes it is still good time to invest in bitcoin because the price of bitcoin is still trading in a very very low level because we are expecting that the price will hit 1200$ in next few months or at the end of 2016, therefore still it is good to invest in bitcoin and hold it for the price increase.

I personally consider anytime before the halving block reward (in a month) is a good time to buy. so It's really recommended to buy now but nothing is guaranteed of course .. just like any other investement .
Note that Bitcoin is a long term investement so If you are looking for a simple quick profit then it's probably not the best thing to do.

Who else dont like to get some bitcoins and it is the best time ever to get them as specially when you get them for free you know. There are allot of ways to make money with it but getting them for free wauuw heaven/

Yes we need to observe before the halving like 1 week or 2 because i'm sure that many users will also do the same that they will sell their coins if the bitcoin reached $900-1k per piece.

if you have bought bitcoin when you asked this question you could have had a very nice amount of profit.

but if you have not bought bitcoin or for anyone who wants to do it now, they should do it now before it is too late and the big movement starts .

yeah right now is very good time to buy bitcoin  price is not too high yet and it has not even reached 10% of its potential IMO. So we should be waiting longer and longer for it to rise and get as many bitcoin as we can in the meanwhile. So the answer is yes now is a good time just dont buy if its like 700+ already cause those are drop moments.

Yeah price increases slightly so this symbolise that bitcoin is going to start stable price rise in upcoming months. We can buy some bitcoins now and you can sell it on near Christmas time. Every year price is getting increase from that average to peak on that time. Utilise and win it.

I guess today's a good time to do so. If you're waiting for something like 400-500$ range, you'll be waiting forever. We just got recovered from Bitfinex hack. The price increase was postponed because of that, I think the price pump will continue anytime soon. If not, it's okay, it'll eventually rise. We settled around 560$, then it increased and now we're settled around 610$. See the pattern. We might be pumping soon.

if you want to buy bitcoin i think it is still time to buy bitcoin because the price has fall down becasue of the hacking news about ultcoin and some other crypto currency. which create panic but this down fall is for the time being and the price will increase may be exceed 800 in next few days so i think its the best time to invest money.

Right now is not the best time we won't know what happens next it's floating around 600 and we have to wait for the next move if it's going up or down.
