I think they're trying to buy used miners to hedge their bet a little bit against the halving. Seems like an ok strategy until the s9 completely runs off all other machines because of how efficient it is...

If 100+ s7's are currently in a dc would you buy them and then leave them there and pay hosting or would you take them to your own facility

Better do it QUICK, must already have a facility ready for these miners. Going to see about 100 cheap S7 on the market come august at least.

Yeah, and that's when I'm planning to buy. Buying right now is probably a big mistake because of difficulty and the new miners. No doubt people have ordered hundreds to thousands of s9.
Watch out for halving!
