perhaps lisk with sidechains as an alt for small transaction and with addon apps for people to poke arounds. others alt are just get rich scam vaporware, scalability is the main issue for long term. if you dont know any of these names then you should‘nt spend a penny in crypto.

Is it launched as an ICO ?
Does it's "token" end up being traded in exchange for Bitcoin on centralized exchanges
..by the usual suspects ?

ICO coins were put out and they were bought up by a secret rich group.
Why ?
It served what need now ? (why would millions be spent on vaporware code in secret)

How is it any different than an alt chain?  
Either the coin is a bitcoin or it is not a bitcoin.  

Sidechains is codeword for "Well BTC will just make its own 'alt' coin" and akin to the bankers "We won't need bitcoin and we will make our own private blockchain".

But that doesn't negate the fact that BTC needs digital counter weights.  So projects like ETH and LTC are clearly here to stay.  ETH may deflate to pennies, but it has a toehold on volume.  LTC was and likely will return to 'silver' to BTC 'gold' status.  2.0 DACs DA0z and Duhhhs! will eventually find a way to be less sham & scam and more what the are billed to be.  

More importantly the yet to be launched (and likely to be overhyped overbought) Sidechains are 3 years behind in establishing a record of trade ... there are dozens of alts that offer real and working products and have been traded 24/7 for +1000 days.
