mtgox was created-date: 2007-01-02 21:05:49

acording to http://website.informer.com/mtgox.com#tab_ip_whois,
this is way before the BTC came. What did mtgox do before they exchanged bitcoins?

Well, it doesn't have any pre-BTC traffic, so I'd think someone just liked the name and was holding on to it. It's not uncommon.
I'm amused that it has a "child safety" rating of 93. Good to know I can let the kids trade for me.

Too bad none of the above are involved with Bitcoin, otherwise I would say you were onto something.

If I recall correctly, Roger Ver used to be this trading card game just prior to getting into Bitcoin. He even placed in the money once: http://www.wizards.com/sideboard/article.asp?x=results/ptla98

Just a short question, the Magic The Gathering Online Review https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic:_The_Gathering_Online tells us:
Each card is individually numbered using a secure encryption system and stored remotely, and the online cards can be traded instantaneously and in a safe manner.
