It means that the generation of the key is made offline and most likely computed by your computer and not by the server.

You can have bitaddress offline by downloading from their GitHub (direct link for the most recent offline file). You can find both links on the bottom of their page.

Don't exactly got what you are asking up here.So far I guess you are asking for offline service alternate to it. You can use vanitygen then .Go here :- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=25804.0

If you are finding an alternate service to generate up bitcoin address online just like bitaddress.org then you can try https://walletgenerator.net .

So you want to know about which bitcoin address you have the key for. Then in that case you can use any bitcoin wallet to do that.Just head over to import a private key and it will show you bitcoin address.Simple Smiley

I don't know which wallet you are using but I can show you how to do it with blockchain.info web wallet:-

1)Head to Import/Export Section and paste the import key and hit the "Add private key"

2) You will get a popup like below showing you the bitcoin address.

For offline signing a transaction, you can use Armory in offline mode on dedicated notebook never connected to internet. Its not the easiest solution, but it works and is more secure than importing your private key to a computer connected to internet.

For more info, you might check Armory section

Well I believe I can understand what you mean.
You want to know if a wallet service going offline how you can use your private key ?

As I know the easiest way to import a private key must be using Blockchain.info.
Or you can also use Electrum or Mycelium or even Bitcoin-core. All of these are having options to import your private key (in case of bitcoin-core, you need to import by going into console). Hope the information will help you.

you could download the html page of bitaddress.org from the github depot here: https://github.com/pointbiz/bitaddress.org  ( so you could first check the code )
then , simply run the" bitaddress.org.html" file  on a non connected to internet computer.. and you're done  Smiley

Besides bitaddress.org, you may also try a open source utility software created by Casascius... I find it very useful and you can even modify the software to suit your purposes- whatever it is...
