My understanding is that very quickly on Saturday LOTS of Chinese started buying BTC.  Makes me wonder if anything serious is going on over there.

Shanghai stock trading starts at +/- 9:00 PM (US ET).  Watch Asian trading at marketwatch.com.  Watch price of gold and US futures as well (same site).

yeah this is just a natural growth of bitcoin and i think more price will come because block halving is nearly done the same as before.. if you don't follow the good path you can not make a good profit.. better to buy bitcoins too and i think we will see the price will hit too in 700 value this month..

So it had nothing to do with the brexit from the euro union?
It is news to do with the financial situation in the EU.
So, It only made sense since they announced it then it started to spike upwards that fast.

You do have to wonder if someone is just maliciously trying to raise the price knowing fine well that because of the upcoming halving people will think its not a pump and therefore buy into it. If that is the case then its going to be one hell of a dump.

We should also look at the market depth and how solid the support for current price. I think we should let it calm down for a few days...

BTW it just went from (bitstamp) 683 down to 664 and then 670... still a very thin support between buy and sell prices.

Hmm lets see. Im rather excited about it, I also think that before halving there will be a huge dump that will touch 550$ again, then it will skyrocket above 700$. Just my prediction though.

The halving can come in soon and I do not know what the price is going to be after that. The price is not even above $600 and I did not expe3ct this to happen at all. It can all change tho after the halving.

Everyone is hoping that the value of Bitcoin will rise for a long time and that is logic because they can see now that they can earn some money soon with it.
And that is nice if that is possible for them because they already waited a long time for it so that is important.

Already crossed the 700 mark and still increasing ,,this happening is what we call "profit" weve waited for this for a very very long time,, the long wait is over..

the current price is already above the 700 USD. Very nice improvement over the past week. bitcoin will experience a major increase. welcomes halving and halving have occurred when the price of bitcoin will be getting crazy and we were lucky to have bitcoin.
