This is Really surprising Price Increase.. I just checked bitcoin rate after two days and found that 130$ more Increased in bitcoin. 2 days ago bitcoin price was only 570$.
Increase 130$ in only two days is Simply Awesome, I can't say what will happen at the time of halving if bitcoin price increase that much constantly before the halving.

its a really big achievement for bitcoins, it only shows that people are getting more and more interested in it thus buying more and more of this cryptocurrency and making it even more bigger

This is becoming more exciting and I'm feeling more nervous with the way price has behaved over the last few days. For someone who's fairly new to bitcoin, these are incredulous times and we don't even know what to expect anymore. $700 seemed too high of a target a couple of months ago, and now here we are. What is it, another 2-year high? Last time I witnessed this kind of surge was back when I  was still active in stocks trading.

Yes, really surprising. This is the highest bitcoin's price has been in around two years - it last broke the $700 mark back in February 2014, when it was trending downwards following all-time highs of more than $1,100. Buy it now and wait.

Yes it is another milestone for bitcoin and I am making a good amount of profit just by holding bitcoin at this moment.

But it is all building up on a bubble of Chinese buying bitcoin. The moment they will start booking their profit, a huge crash will be seen.

If you want to buy then buy it in small quantities just to safeguard yourself.

I remember so much FUD was spreading at that time. People were crying that BTC is 'ending' and to 'sell it all' before it will reach $0.

The problem with Bitcoin's market cap is that is extremely unstable - we probably see market correction soon and price will be back to around $500 and so will market cap.
And it is not that we are even close to ATH with $700+.

This is really an important time for the Bitcoin.
I do not know if the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise, or if after Halving the price of Bitcoin will decrease, but what is essential is that the Bitcoin reached 700$.

It is still useful to look at the coin supply and tally the total value at current market rates. You can do the same with gold, silver, whatever. One problem with gold is that no one actually knows exactly how much is out there in people's hands. That's probably why you don't hear much about a "market cap" of gold, except in rough estimates.

This is really nice to see bitcoin price above 700$. But again this is sudden increase in price and things which are sudden are not sustainable. I wonder what could be the factor for such a price raise in 2 days (one of these two days was a Sunday when most of the world had a holiday). If price can go so up in 2 days, it can go down even beyond expectations. So lets wee whats  more to come.

I'm honestly more scared when BTC starts doing quick parabolical rises.  We all already know how this is all going to end up.  We've seen it again and again with BTC itself and all the other altcoins time and time again.  We've even also seen it happen to stocks and commodities.

I'd prefer it if BTC started doing a slow, quiet and steady rise.  This current rise looks like it's being played and manipulated.

Sudden price drops after a price spike up are common.

Makes the argument that market cap is key for understanding bitcoin, and that we are basically at an All Time High right _now_, adjusting for the coin supply in 2013 versus now. I can understand people being resistant to that idea, but I think the logic is valid.

Anyway, what's interesting is his argument that $700 would be a key price point, and that if we broke through it there would be potential for another big bull run. It was quite solidly broken by quite a bit a few hours ago. His expectation for retrenchment seems to be coming true as well. If he's right, the next few days could bring even more thrills. I do think it'll go about that price after halving. That's roughly a good price to stay at and be stable for a while. Well see.

All this price increase over the past weeks have made me nervous. This kind of surge is just not sustainable. A pullback could be a welcome sight for me. Relative strength index is almost at 90, meaning it is already at overbought levels. Should we allow it to cool down so things could somehow get back to normal?

I thought the same when I saw we had passed $10 Billion. Looking here: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ it shows on Nov 22nd the price was $701.95 and the cap was at about $8.4 Billion. The all time high cap looks like just shy of $14 Billion. Based on this, Id say we will pass the all time high market cap when we get to around $895 a coin.

Corrections are good and healthy.
And that could give others the opportunity to get in.Furthermore the whole situation in the ecosystem right now looks pretty bullish.

i dont think it will drop to 500$ or lesser any time sooner. Its the halving time and prices will continue to grow. After two months you can see the Dip in the prices and that would be the best time to buy if you want to invest in this bitcoin.

Yeah with enough financial resources it still is very easy too manipulate Bitcoin in your favour.
Therefore the already rich will become even richer.They collect the big chunks and the rest will be left with the crumbs.
