i have tried following the steps. the download didnt work. it says "file to big to be stable"

also tried adding the nodes and the wallet still wont connect.

It takes a while for the wallet to sync up. Mine took about 12 hrs. Just make sure ports are not blocked on your PC.

im using a mac and running windows through parallels. for some reason the files wouldnt download through parallels but did on the mac.

1008 frozen so often

Downgraded to 1007 and downloaded the chain on the side, all firewall rules open for port access and addnode list in conf file, it is now connected to nodes and syncing well.

Edit:

Anyone knows how to fix this conflicted tx? I forgot to add a fee.

I just relaunched the wallet with -rescan parameter. Let's hope it works.
