You not take proper precautions to make your computer safe.
What steps do you recommend to take? first step and most important... no porn sites. and do not click any links, anywhere, unless you are sure the site is 100% legit. Get WOT web of trust, thats very useful and good indicator showing bad websites in search results. Get anti virus, eset is very good. NEVER open / click any links in emails. UNDERSTAND most virus/keyloggers and such, often need you to click a link. Doing the above should be enough to keep you safe. Yes, I recommend you guys buy a small 11 inch notebook for only staking purpose, don't surf internet there, store the wallet in that notebook. Use general computer for daily browsing, but don't use our Stratis stake computer to surf internet, to keep that 100% secure and clean. Also, It would be a good idea to store whats on your notebook to a usb/micro sd card for backup. Good idea, and that 11 inch notebook can be used for other reliable coin staking, don't install unreliable new coin wallet, to avoid a backdoor or trajan horse. 11 inch notebook only costs 1-200 usd, rather cheap compare my Stratis stake(more than 50k usd). Stay away from public wifi (coffee shops, libraries, schools) when accessing your wallet.

3 cents a coin for a project with such potential. What on earth you can buy with that money these days that can reach x30 value worth over some time.
There are some other projects which got funded way more with their ICO and which also have good potential. Except it is easier to go x10 from here to a 35 million market cap, than a 20+ million dollar cap coin to go to 200 million.
Better buy now before the FOMO comes or you will in the future regret it and ask yourself what if... well it's too late then! In the meantime while you read this I will keep on buying more because I have faith in this becoming one of the biggest altcoins in 2016-2018 and thereafter.
Absolutely right. Feel the pain of guys who didn't bought GULDEN coin. The same thing will happen with Stratis holders. it will worth not less than 50 million dollars at the end of april 17 Yeah but what does Gulden offer? I have not read too super alot into that coin but seems that it might just be another PnD coin. Stratis on the other hand has real world potential. Edit: Seriously Gulden will have 1.68 BILLION coins.... Stratis has 84 million.... One of the two projects is EXTREMELY over/undervalued I am keeping my fingers crossed that Microsoft buys them out and we get 1 Microsoft share per 100 strat coins

It should be part of the "staking" "Q&A" sheet for sure.To sum up, for super safety, people should buy a cheap notebook and this way you can stake your coins 24/7.

To sum up, for super safety, people should buy a cheap notebook, not connect it to the internet, maybe only to do updates now and then (and at home on safe network) and this way you can stake your coins 24/7.
Your pc need to be connected to the internet for staking. I think you probably meant don't surf the web.

So now I would have a normal PC that I would use for daily stuff (internet, downloading etc.) and I have a laptop with only the Stratis wallet on it for staking but with an active internet connection.
The PC and the laptop are both connected trough the same WIFI internet connection, does my behavior on the PC affect the internet connection on the laptop, and so is a risk for my laptop with the Stratis wallet?

You can split the connection through your router to read from different LAN (Local area Networks) ips. I will find a link for you and update this post. Edit: you could download vmware (virtual computer) or a software similar to a Usd, then download to your notebook (without internet connection) so when you are ready to connect you can connect through the virtual computer. But i would take both steps above.

I would think if you just turn on the windows firewall and block everything else except for stratis wallet. and turn off file sharing protocol on the laptop should be good enough.

No difference if you have 100 coins at a 1.0 or 1000 coins at 0.10, they both have the same market cap. Market cap is the TOTAL value of the project, you divide that by number of coins and you get price per coin. The number of coins means nothing.

IMO hacker prefer hacking big exchanges, not our wallets. Maybe fish hackers like hacking wallets. World-class hackers aim to steal big exchanges' money, you see bter, bitfinex, mtgox, bitstamp and so forth.... I think the probability is lower than a theft or robbery. If the criminals know you have high value crypto assets.

May be some good news... I'm divided on this. On the one hand, I want new to see Stratis reach newer heights, with extra features being added to the Stratis framework on a regular basis. On the other hand, cryptic statements about "a major announcement on the part of the dev team" sort of sound like the typical drivel spouted in over-hyped press releases by paid penny stock promoters. I guess we'll have to wait 48 hours to see what this "announcement" is, and how it'll affect the price.

I believe Trew is still learning the politics of running the show and means well. Give him a pass on this one.
