The new futuredrift setting does not kick in till nov 19th @ 0000 GMT, the two team addresses are staking all the blocks now, we will rain the stake reward earned in slack on Friday. Once it kicks in, staking will resume as normal.

But the wallet.dat stays thes same? Because I have the wallet.dat at a safe place and I am not using the wallet at the moment at all. Or do I have to install the new wallet just to backup a new wallet.dat?

Download the wallet and replace the new wallet.dat with your old wallet.dat

That will not cause any substantial problems. The worst thing that can happen is that you go on a fork and you will have to resync the blockchain with the new wallet once you get back. Only updated wallets will be able to stake after 19 Nov, so no stake rewards either if you haven't updated by then. If you're worrying about your funds: don't. They are perfectly safe.

No. That is fine. After the 19th you will need to delete everything except wallet.dat, open new client to resync, and continue.

You guys should be patient, you know that rat4 never finds this bug in 2 years(almost 3 years), rat4 is the inventor of first pow+ second pure pos system, he is the inventor of POS 3.0, most of altcoin uses it, including Stratis' INTERIM wallet. The team is challenging a bug never found within 2 years. It is happening first time, I guess we are too lucky? It was brought to my attention that Blackcoin code is the source of Stratis' INTERIM wallet bug, because they inherit the same code base. I went throught ALL commits made by sigwo summarized here: https://github.com/stratisproject/stratisX/pull/5and Blackcoin code is different than STRATIS, STRATIS had different interval than Blackcoin, you can see it here: BLACKCOIN: https://github.com/rat4/blackcoin/blob/843ca048cacafbcbf9225b2670a76d2887cf1b95/src/main.h#L62STRATIS(before the fix): https://github.com/stratisproject/stratisX/blob/c9eb0650759a5fe7536c945dc55270848ca6c436/src/main.h#L63 SUMMARY: Blackcoin code is not the source of the bug!here you can see the change from the original "+ 15" to "+ 128*60*60" https://github.com/stratisproject/stratisX/commit/71cf3f5b7b0d24bdb9479f7a2a326b69a09e0412#diff-e8db9b851adc2422aadfffca88f14c91L63and the fix which basically changes the interval "+ 128*60*60" back to Blackcoin's original "+ 15" https://github.com/stratisproject/stratisX/commit/b80d3ea6442d26d9ccae5174b99f52f64af97d8f#diff-e8db9b851adc2422aadfffca88f14c91R65

I've updated the source code and rebuilt the wallet. But now immediately after start up it I get an error: 'Error initializing wallet database environment /home/xxx/.stratis!''
I've removed everything except wallet.dat from the directory, but without success. Anybody else with the same problem?

Just found the problem, I was using a newer libdb, version 5.3 instead of the required 4.8
