Security Pioneer John McAfee Adds Blockchain Experts to Advisory Board

Security pioneer John McAffee has added two bitcoin pioneers to his new company's advisory board as part of a broader effort to make digital currency businesses more secure.

A part of the strategy for MGT Capital Investments, McAffee yesterday launched the Cryptosecurity Advisory Board, naming bitcoin angel investor Roger Ver as board chairman. Today, MGT added serial industry entrepreneur Erik Voorhees as an inaugural member of the board.

While banks and other financial institutions have been adopting blockchain technology because of its increased transparency and efficiency, McAfee said the board, and an entirely new soon-to-be launched division at the company, are aimed at making the technology more secure.

Experts? Oh please. Roger Ver can't even do basic Bitcoin transactions without help from Twitter (literally evidenced on Roger Ver's Twitter account).

And now that Erik Voorhees has thrown his "weight" behind the good-ship Ver/McAfee, his dubious playmaking in Bitcoin becomes more obvious:

  • Which long-term CIA fiefdom does Shapeshift.io operate out of?
  • How long has Erik Voorhees been operating his crypto exchange out of a well known CIA fiefdom?
  • Erik Voorhees has been physically based in said CIA fiefdom for a similar length of time
  • How has Erik Voorhees avoided CIA involvement in his cyber-money exchange service for several years, running the company and his personal life out of a CIA fiefdom?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Appearance is definitely more important than factual knowledge or expertise. I agree completely with what you said.
At an executive level nobody knows anything about Blockchain/Bitcoin etc but they put those words in their mouth to show themselves cool.

The other day I was with a COO of a big industrial company and I was really astonished about how he was utterly uninformed.
