So as everyone can see, Bitcoins and Ethereum are both shooting up in value pretty fast!!

If you have 100 Bitcoins, how will you invest them??

- Leave those Bitcoins untouched and pray to God that they will cross the $1000 mark after halving?
- Convert all Bitcoins into Ethereum? There are a lot of speculations that Ethereum may shoot up to $30-$50 range over the course of the next few weeks.
- Convert 50% of those Bitcoins to Ethereum?

Let me know your thoughts..

No, just hold all your BTC for now.  Both are still trending vs fiat.  By trading some of your BTC to ETH you are exposing yourself to more risk fiat-wise if both go down.

One rule of thumb is to go 100% BTC if it's trending.  It's the safest bet imo.

I don't think BTC comes down during this time before the halving. After the halving is a different environment and I can't predict what will happen. But I guess if there is going to be a wild ride, be prepared to do a lot of BTC/USD to stay safe.

I would stay 100% in BTC at the current time. Ether looks fully priced and will need to grow into its present valuation while BTC's downside/upside still seems okay.

I'd say 50/50 BTC and ETH, normally I'd go 100% BTC, but there are currently 27000 unconfirmed transactions https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions and rising, which makes BTC not so useful anymore, how good is a payment system if you have to pay 30 cents in order to get confirmed in the next block? Your transaction can get confirmed in the next ETH block for less than 1 cent. In the end I think 50/50 is the safest bet.

don't hold your breath; up to and during halving btc will easily pass $780~830; after the halving it'll be a while to the $1000 mark!

- Convert 50% of those Bitcoins to Ethereum?

i'm invested 66/33 into mining eth and keeping btc (+a bit of dao laying around for giggles);
my rig is my fiat, what it mines is my eth and i intend keep the btc i have.

I'd spread it the exact same way!
1/3 an alt mining rig which can be converted into fiat any day.
1/3 what it mines
1/3 keeping the original crypto!

Convert 10-20% to ETH. Continue to monitor the market and re-balance either way as appropriate.

Agreed, diversifying your holdings is the best thing to do. It protects you from putting all your effs in one basket and then possibly waking up very unhappy. May also want to consider LTC.

Hold the Bitcoins, it's the only good Coin, other are pump-dumps such as Ethereum. Just hold Bitcoins and wait for a big price (around $1000) to sell. Profit.

Why are there always some random dudes always saying different to all other members. Why are you on a Bitcoin forum if it is a pump and dump? Go to an Ethereum forum then.

Ethereum is a pump and dump. You can't just handle it.
