What do you think the best way to get bitcoins is?
Is it mining solo for a year or joining a pool?
Or is it doing random surveys that steal your info?
EDIT: Without using any money generated not by bitcoins

Mining is the best way to get bitcoins. Mining Creates new bitcoins out of thin air solo mining is only if you have a very huge mining farm. otherwise you are better with joining a pool. I am planning to start my own pool soon.

this might be a stupid question but what is fiat? and who do you work for "Fiat" is latin and means something like "let there be". You might know the term "Fiat Lux", which means "let there be light". Fiat money is money that can just be created from nothing. Governments can just say "let there be money", hence the term "Fiat money".

If you want them without buying, then pool mining for sure.
If you simply want them quickly, buying (e.g mt.gox) is the way to go!

To get initial fraction of bitcoin one could do this:
1. Get ripples (free ones). 2. Exchange 35k XRP into 0.7 btc. (need to find someone willing to do so, i already did)
That's probably what many of bitcoin users did.
(edit: only applies if you registered here before give away began)

Sell something used that is valueable enough and someone will defently buy it. Something that you bought and do not use that much anyway
