One of bitcoin's most-often cited challenges is the need for widespread merchant adoption. In examining this issue, bitcoin researchers often note that only a handful of big-name merchants like Tiger Direct accept bitcoin. What often gets less ... гopoд Aлeк, Russian Federation

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

The ability to accept payment from customers worldwide for those that don't even have the option of a Visa or Mastercard setup with fullblown PCI compliance a pretty attractive offer for many of them.  I suspect we will see a growing number of 'mom-and-pop' type operations with any sort of net presence doing the same thing in the months to come.

i think it still need some more time for this. because bitcoin has to win the heart and confidence of the small merchants and then they can think about the uses and acceptance of bitcoin from the small merchants.

Of course we need more time,i would say we may see some changes but not earlier than 2020,
because btc needs to get more popular and trusted all across the world,to get small merchant's to accept that they may get payed in it.

Online merchants might have a problem accepting bitcoins because it sometimes takes time to get a confirmation - as long as 30 minutes. How do you sell your products on automation with that?

It is better this way.  Smiley

Starting off small is the best way to provide stability within the market and that is true with bitcoin as well.

Then it can move forward with medium sized merchants so to gain confidence in the future.
And hopefully it could reach a larger market like an Amazon or Walmart as merchants that accept it.

Very interesting that accept payments from customers who do not have Visa or MasterCard card set. It populates quickly. A good deal

I don't really see a problem with waiting 30 minutes for an online transaction.
It's not like most places are going to ship your merchandise before 30 minutes anyways.
The wait would be a bigger problem for someone buying something in a store, since you would want to walk out with the goods before waiting 30-40 minutes for the transaction to be 100% confirmed.
