Op posts a one line question and then Minecache chimes in with a post containing three whole words. These two posts are not quality posts by any stretch of the imagination. If you are going to complain about post quality, you better step up to the plate and show us how it is done.

Some of the discussions are valuable, but yeah, a lot are shitty.  And that's being generous.  This is a gigantic melting pot of people from different cultures and backgrounds, so it's like Babel from the bible.  But most of the altcoins are shitty to begin with, so what do you expect? 

But bitcointalk does a great job keeping the discussions from being troll bait.  I've definitely seen worse.

That is why they merit their own board.
You can easily ignore all this discussion, if you find it to be low quality.

most of all that don't ride along and didn't earn during their first encounter with altcoins find it shitty.

It is not all but it is a surprising amount.  This is why some signature campaigns don't even count that section which is sad as altcoins are very valid and fun but a lot of posts just end up being horrible there.

But we also have to look at the coins... truthfully there are some pretty crappy coins to that still get post's.  Not every coin is good but many still get posts.   So it is a issue many see I think best way to combat it is sig campaigns not paying for that area just like offtopic as it is full of not so great posts.
