Most Online Ever: 3809 (June 19, 2011, 07:56:13 PM)

This is the record for total number of people browsing the forum [ including guests I'm assuming ] at any one time.

This has not been beat since 2011. I would think it would have been surpassed if bitcoin really is gaining as many new users as some people claim.

Thoughts?

Not as much of the user base that is coming cares about forums as much as the earlier people attracted.

How many users were hanging out in the bitcoin subreddit on June 19th 2011?

Bitcoin is the first monetary system to credibly offer perfect information to all economic participants.

Remember too that there are more sources of Bitcoin community than there were in 2011. We now have more facebook and google groups, and of course the very popular reddit/r/bitcoin.  These realms will take some of the community pie, so even if the pie is much larger the bitcointalk forum portion may not indicate this.

I can also tell the growing awareness of bitcoin from stats at The Bitcoin List. I went from averaging between 4,000 and 5,000 page views per month to over 10,000 page views in March, almost exclusively referred by search engines.

Still around.
