20 posts are required every two weeks by 25th July 2016 to be accepted.

So, If I join today, I have to make 40 posts, by the time the ICO ends.

Or, the requirement is only 20 posts in any thread till 25th July

I am not sure that is the case. We have to wait for Krushang to make it more clear for every one. But, the project definitely very promising.

20 posts in 2 weeks will reward you 1 stake/point. Another two weeks of 20 post will reward you with double stake.

The 2nd stake will start be once you have been rewarded the first stake. Eg: Your first stake is rewarded on the 15th July.  From the 16th to the 26th you can be rewarded another stake for another 20 posts.

Does it matter if you have the signature for e.g. 3 weeks? I signed  up on the 6th and wont be able to fullfill 4 weeks by the 26th, what will happen then?
