I dont think that it really matters or make differences in the value as its your wish that you call 10 bitcoin or btc or 10 bitcoins . Their is no differences in speaking different only value matters.

BTC, bitcoins or bitcoin... It really doesn't matter. I personally use BTC or bitcoins. Just make sure that you use the points "." in the value correctly, and you're all good. People would definitely understand you.

That is not really matter whether you use 10 bitcoin or 10 bitcoins. currency terms are not created equal. there are communities who do not use plural forms for money terms.

it will be bitcoin only as it is similar to any other currency. Bitcoin as like other currency is a collective noun.

example: we call 1 $ as a dollar and call 10$ as 10 dollar not 10 dollars.

that is WRONG
https://www.englishforums.com/English/WhichCorrectDollarsDollar/cvgxm/post.htm

english is my second language but google tells me that you say 10 dollars.
you say 10 dollar bill. but you say i spent 10 dollars
it is the same as other units of measurement like foot which is 1 foot and 10 feet.

... depends on the context, I would think...

It is my understanding that you would say "gimme 10 dollars" or "I owe him 10 dollars" or "this item costs 10 dollars"... but that you have to say "a 10 dollar banknote" or "a 10 dollar amount is what he got out of it" or "I'm browsing for a 10 dollar item".

source: Internet

In this context, the OP would say "I have 10 bitcoins".
But if the OP had a 10 btc Casascius coin, they would say "I have a 10 bitcoin Casascius coin".

Overall, I think "10 bitcoins" would be the correct grammar, majority of the time.

Yeah if you hold more then one coin then you need to add that extra 's' to it and that would be the correct term to define 10 bitcoin's'.

so if it's the amount of currency, we say 10 bitcoins, but if it's as noun or followed by noun, we say 10 bitcoin casascius coin? interesting.

I was a little confused about this either. I thought currency doesn't need to be added by "s".

for each thing which we when call in multiple then we call its plural name, so in bitcoin case we have use the same gramatical rule also, and we have to call 1 BTC as 1 bitcoin and have to call 10 BTC as 10 bitcoins.

No, it is not correct, it is only you who are using like that, while all other people are using s for more dollars, and the same will be used for bitcoin also, so do not forget 's' for the next time.

It doesn't really matter, but like any other currencies like dollar becomes dollars and euro to euros I think bitcoin to bitcoins seems correct.

We know that it makes no difference to the the users of bitcoin, but if you are looking for correct word and correct answer then 10 bitcoins is the answer for your question.

Knowing the right term does matter.  If you are in a middle of presentation and just throwing words without knowing it's proper term, then your audience won't see you as profesional and knowledgable about stuff you are talking about.  How can you respect an advance idea when you see the presenter can't even define a simple singular term from plural term.  Anyway, I might be not best with grammar but it should be 10 Bitcoins

That is not true. You are supposed to say 10 dollars. For example, you don't say I spent 10 dollar today, you say I spend 10 dollars today. But when it comes to the plural of Bitcoin, I think that 10 Bitcoin and 10 Bitcoins are both fine.

Seen a lot of different ways of saying 10 btc, I personally say 10 bitcoin. My grammar has recently been question though, by the titanium BTCC coins. They say 10 bitcoins :-/

Weird question bruh, but for me, i use 10 bitcoins, let's give an a example. Let say 100k satoshis, you don't say 100k satoshi because it's inappropriate. 10 bitcoins is the correct term.

When it's writed, it's better to say BTC. Of course in real life you can't say "BTC" since it sounds as stupid as saying "USD", so we should follow the same logic and all it bitcoins, just like we say dollars, rubbles, euros...

I would write 10 bitcoins without any hesitation. Just like 10 Swiss francs or 10 Mexican pesos. The example of the US dollar is a twisted one. We should not follow it.

I always quote it as 10bitcoins, as we are mentioning plural count of the bitcoin. Though the number is mentioned bitcoins seems proper.

Both are used but I think the correct term would be 10 bitcoin.
