And the most delusional bag holder awards goes to.... Seriously how can people still have any faith in this coin and any of it's development going forward? Poloniex was not hacked but because there was a big hack on an unstable coin they halted all wallet activity. $50 million in ETH hacked out of the DAO.

The hacker is seriously good for breaching eth and dao, and what a big lose for losing all eth volume for that exchange surely many people same as i are doubting to stake in eth since tha hacker get almost 50million eth, it can create panic for eth bag holder to do massive selling.

Oh i will sell my eth now i dont want to see my profits gone if the hacker dump the eth he holds and it can destroy the effeciency of the coin in tradings.

i doubt the DAO problem can fixed perfectly, for me at this situation better we sell all of our altcoin then start using paper wallet to save our bitcoin, don't save your bitcoin at exchange durig bitcoin price rising.

I've bought quite a few different types of altcoins in my short time with cryptocurrencies, but I never bought into the ethereum hype. There were just way too many obvious fake shill accounts promoting it all over the place. It would appear poloniex.

This is why centralizing coins sucks no matter what.. okay so the real question is now what alt exchange is safe to use at this time?

I`m sure this is done by some rogue employee that worked for poloniex.

That is not neccessary for changing paper wallet because bitcoins has strong security and it was proven for so many long years theirs no history shows that hackers breach the bitcoin network, and for dao,s issue maybe they have some lapses on their security thats why hackers find some loophole to breach and seize the their alts and surely for that dao will fix their system security correctly and maybe this is lesson to learn with them to maximize their security and eliminate these fault.

Well, DAO seems to be dead, that s for sure. However, Ether and the rest will recover.

This is why I hate crypto anonymity, that hacker should suffer big time.

Some major bitcoin players have halted Eth withdrawal due to the bug/hack. Hashflare has halted ETH withdrawal due to the ETH/DAO hack too.

Hey guys,

I'm not saying that poloniex got hacked but all ETH deposits are gone.

I deposited some ETH and blockchain tells me that they went through but they aren't shown in poloniex.

I tried to change my password and it didn't let me.

I thought it's maybe only my account that has got problems... but in the trollbox there are a lot of other people having the exact same issues.


Considering the news that DAO got hacked I feel certain that poloniex got hacked.

It went through.  It's Poloniex witholding everyone's ETH to avoid a major dump.  This could be a request behind the scenes from the Ethereum Foundation itself.

Edit:  The 'request' comment is just speculation, so only take it with a grain of salt.

They are acting like central banks. Poloniex froze people's accounts just like central banks do with bailouts. What a scam.

That's exactly what I am warning my friends for. The current sentiment is just a hype. If you want security makes sure to trade wise.
And remember transffering coins is never a safe thing to do.
