I'm not sure on your "no spending power" I'm guessing you mean "free" power?  Also we really need to know do you have an area you can handle heat/noise?   Also how much "free" power do you have?

If this is going in your bedroom for example we are looking at a different miner then say a room you are not spending time in.    But with free chances are used is what you will be looking for, and looking for most amount of hash you can get for your money with being "free".   Bitmain normally is lowest price per hash even on used gear due to so many using them.    The exact model will depend on your answers.

But if you let us know noise/heat you can handle, and how much power you have we can help more.   It's not a one size fit's all on best model when it comes to "free".

OP has no spending power, meaning no money, no moola, no cashiola. The best hardware for someone like him is an air miner, only thing is he'll get air bitcoin from it.

Lul. Seriously, I think he has free electricity and if he does, if he really has no spending power [which would be really, really unfortunate since he cant buy anything] and he has at least 100$, aim for an S3. S3+S are unnecessary, because why overclock? it just uses more electricity, but if you use less, it feels good. If you can snag a SP20[there occasionally are ones below 100USD], they are reliable, and use relatively small amounts of electricity. They also have a large amount of hashpower, more than a S5, which usually costs around 100$ as well, at least on this forum. The reason I don't recommend S1s anymore is because they cost so much to ship that people just price them about the same as a S3, and that's pretty dumb. If anything, an S1 is a collector's item, along with the block erupter usb and U1 and u2. You get the point.

I can get an sp20 or 2 for you.
If you are in the usa.
 I also have an s-5

they all do about 1100gh at 600 watts

the closer you are to New Jersey  the cheaper I can sell them.

s-5 and sp20 run close to 100 bucks and you need a power supply

I would beat this deal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bitmain-Antminer-S5-750w-Power-Supply-Bitcoin-Miner-1155-GH-s-Mining-Rig-PSU-/272275170980?

or these deals

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spondoolies-Jackson-SP-20E-SHA-256-Bitcoin-Miner-1-7-TH-S-/301989352334?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spondoolies-SP20E-Bitcoin-ASIC-Miner-1-7-Thash-Max-Underclockable-/162101271451?

for any of the above to work out you need power cost under 2 cents a kwatt

If you have no money, then why bother buying hardware? Better use that money on a nice suit and get a job.
Bitcoin mining, even with free electricity is fun and fun only,

There is no way you make ROI, and with the halving coming up, you will overpay on any miner you buy.

Not entirely true. If he does have cheap electricity, he could be making ROI with even outdated miners. We don't know the details, so he might as well be asking for a car when he has ten bucks to spend. If your electricity is cheap enough (lower than 0.1$/kwh), you could make a profit with the S9 if you chose to buy it. S7-LN may work, but it really does depend how much your electric rates cost.

Some people prefer the doom/gloom and spread info that is not really true.   Some want to say mining is dead! Is it true? Ofcourse not there are still many of us miners out there.  It is true it takes decent electricity prices in some areas it is not feasible to do it.... but there are hosting so you still can mine.

Look at BTC's recent surge in price there is obviously still lot's interested in it.   So even though having is coming we have a great new miner in S9 for us with more normal electricity to keep mining.  And there are those with "free" and very cheap that will no doubt be able to run older gear even after having.  How old of gear? Hard to speculate we will see after having.  But ROI is still very much possible, just takes longer then it did years ago.

1 titan knc miner if you could get it to run at the mythical 350mh rate at 5.28 LTC and 14c kwh at 1150 watts *using gen tarkin 3rd party firmware*
currently gets below
                    Total                            USD                               Elec                   Profit
24 hours   3.81460693 LTC              20.14 USD                        3.86 USD             16.28 USD
7 days   26.70224854 LTC           140.99 USD                       27.05 USD           113.94 USD
30 days   114.43820801 LTC          604.23 USD                     115.92 USD           488.31 USD

If you have a working KNC Titan you are golden. If not it is a lot like looking for Unicorns. The catch is at say an eventual LTC price of 8-10 bucks
the current eBay prices (if they are listed) are a bargain. But as of right now for most of us they are too high.

You are better off buying LTC or BTC at this point imho..unless you get lucky and find one that makes some sense to buy rather then at premium prices
if you can find and hunt down such a *unicorn* Smiley

So after electric profit above at $764 BTC rate you are making 0.6391492146596859 BTC profit per month after electric

If you just use LTC above and have ROI'd on your Titans (long term owner) then you are making LTC for the price of
electric only, using the example above of $115.92 usd for electric that is about $1.01 per LTC with the current price of LTC again of $5.30
this is a comfortable place for most Titan Owners to be. Whether you covert to BTC as per this threads topic with your miner or just hold LTC.

That is the rub however ...what price to pay for such a unit depends on IF BTC continues to go up and scyrpt and or LTC prices continue to rise with stuff.

I have heard the Bitmain S9 is it? may also do OK...but again the upfront costs on a miner unless the crypto of choice goes up you may never get roi back

As a side note on this with halving coming up ...it may NOT effect a LTC miner in that LTC's halving has already come and gone...thus IF (big IF) LTC
just continues to follow BTC at the (kinda lousy imho now) 0.00730 LTC to BTC ratio...well heck ..it could be a wash (or not just saying)

this is NOT the case with a BTC miner. That we know after halving will have the same costs for 1/2 the crypto made.

So again likely you should just buy coin. I'm just pointing out the only ASIC equip I know of Scrypt Miners converting such to BTC that MAY work for HOME
mining if you have or could find one (at a legit price also iffy) So Titans/Alcheminer 256..maybe if your elec is low enough A2 Terminators...they are pretty
much your only choices imho on such a 'I'm gonna buy equip hell or high water' decision. Price of BTC and the follow of LTC (maybe) will determine most of
this after halving win/lose/draw

But in my case the above was all due to luck/btc and ltc price rises/and finding "USED" equip (Titans) at a bargain. So hell a lot
of this is dumb luck and the crypto price....I should say most if not all home miner wise is dumb luck and crypto prices.

Anyway my take on this thread topic. Smiley

Very odd if he has 100k there but asking for 1BTC loan so I question story.  But even if story is true keep in mind you need a location and setting it up so that 100k would not all go into gear.  Getting location with enough power and wiring it, adding cooling, PSU's/PDU's, etc.  Cost is going to add up on with starup.  You will need to figure out this cost before buying gear.

After figuring out cost in that location (no idea on cost of Brazil).   You really need to make sure electricity is of good quality some have brown out's and are not great.   I think you will be surprised on overhead at startup just for a mining center.   But guess big thing trying to say you will not have 100k if that is budget just to spend on miners.

It takes 3 days from China to USA. Not sure how long to Brazil.

There can be hold up's with customs or other things, 3 day's is pretty much if everything goes perfect and was shipped a with a good company.  There are some "budget" shipping usally used for cheaper item's coming out of China that take much much long but are cheaper.

So it does vary on custom's, company used to ship, amount other thing's.  I can not guarantee it  but I would think 100k in a single order would at least get 1 countries custom's to look at if not more.  So also having a big single sale vs multiple sales could effect it (again it could does not mean it will).

Thank you friends for your help, you were very essential to my growth in the world bitcoin. As for the questions related to the loan that I asked a long time ago. I had not really bitcoins, and needed funding for my research of a dermatological product. I got the loan in BTCJam, did not know how it worked here then made that mistake. Lesson learned =). As for the 100k that I had it is that I only got 2 loan BTC in BTCJam, so I had to sell my car to get finance 100% of my research. At the end he remained somewhat in which decided to invest in hardware to mine bitcoin. I bought in the Bitmain site, has not yet come, I hope to arrive in the coming days and is not stopped at the custom house. Thanks for the support of all.
