I remember when Vitalik out of nowhere decides to sell 25% of his ETH holdings. Then he tries to stop exchanges. Then he makes this half assed hard fork with bugs like replay attack.. he has made so many mistakes and the members of the ETH cult still love him.

That's the part I don't understand... whenever a decision is made with Bitcoin this process takes months if not years (because one variable can affect another variable). Same with Litecoin.. if something is suggested Charlie looks at it and looks at Bitcoin updates then spends a ton of time mulling it all over (and makes a change ONLY if necessary). Game theory is VERY important along with avoiding bugs/exploits... etc etc.

This is REAL money we are talking about it and not some silly toy.

BUT, Ethereum has a bump in the road and Vitalik makes a SUPER critical decision in like a week then pushed for it's implementation in under a month.

Like seriously? WTF. That really pisses me off because Ether isn't just some toy or his fucking sandbox. There is cause and effect... action and reaction.

Now we have a split community and hostility on both sides when we were one big happy family.

These decisions also go against the crypto community fundamentals. Don't get me started on that!

What happens if ETH classic stays POW and the other ethereum fork goes POS.....would not everyone just switch (miners) to eth classic and do better anyway?
with all them miner cheerleaders for eth classic at that point..would not the momentum completely swing to eth classic?

If the ETC stays the PoW, it will have much stronger support from the mining community, and it is safer.

For the miners, It is OK when we have somoething to mine and mine profitably. That is reason that many people mine the ETC.
