I just built a new system for mining.  Asrock Z170 pro4, g4400, 8gb ddr4 -- looks like i made a mistake.  seems others are having problems with Z170 chipset too?  It has 2 16x slots 3 1x slots, i have 1x usb powered risers -- but system wont boot or run stable. screen corrupts display even in bios, but if i unhook the 1x risers it works fine again. My AMD Fm2+ rigs are all working fine with non usb risers 4 cards going 24x7  I was looking forward to running 5 or 6 cards per motherboard when 480s ship.

Which motherboard(s) are you using in your FM2 rigs?

I use the Asrock H 61 Pro BTC or the H81 Pro BTC. They are very robust. It is conveninet to use. You can have up to 6 cards.

Asrock Anni H97 is what I use. I have 5 set-up, they work flawlessly. Cheap too.

They also appear to both have been out of production for some time - definitely the H61 has been, pretty sure on the H81.

The best and cheap motherboard for mining is the Asrock MB. You may try to H97 anniversary. Any 4GB memory will do.

You can still buy the Asrock H81 Pro BTC motherboards. They are cheap and they use the cheap old CPU.

H97 is easier to find in my experience versus the old H81 Pro BTC.

You can generally find memory sticks cheaper the more you buy, so if you plan on building 4 Rigs it would be better to buy a 16GB Memory kit with 4x 4GB sticks rather then buying 4 individual packs of 4GB.
