Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Both of them have the same chance.but I prefer on bitcoin because it's global digital currency and you can buy anything with bitcoin on some store. ETH it's not different with alt coin.

i always prefer earning bitcoin.
becasue ethereum is just like any other altcoin, it is unstable and when it is dumped it is getting dumped real hard.
so i don't want to lose precious money, eth is only good to be traded. buy low and dump high kind of thing

Buying the dip...

Has anyone heard about the recent hack of ETH. I have read few posts about it in different threads. If this is the case than surely bitcoins is the only coin for long term investment.

That is good proportion of allocation. I think the bitcoin price will keep on rising. If the Ethereum survives, it could also rise.

Well, I had around 2000 ETH. But looking at BTC halfing coming, sold when it touched 10$. Still a awesome profit, comparing when I invested only 1 BTC for 2000 ETH. However, BTC is the only real thing here. So, all my money are in BTC.

Currently invested a bit in WAVES.  Grin

That was wise investment. I had more Ethereum 6 months ago, I sold most at around d$1, thinking that was good profit.

Bitcoin is still better for now. It will take time to see if ETH can recover after the hacks.

Eth will be cool to invest in again, eventually. R3 still has a dog in this fight, as well as Microsoft's Azure Project. It's gonna go really, really low however; especially if they drag this decision out the full 27 days. Someone presented a trinary option in another thread for the paths Eth could take with this; they all end with loss of investor confidence, and massive asset devaluation.

Kinda wish this DAO shit and Eth weren't so inexorably linked, no?

Both of them have the same chance.but I prefer on bitcoin because it's global digital currency and you can buy anything with bitcoin on some store. ETH it's not different with alt coin.
Yes I see a bright future for both the coins. But bitcoin in first place every time for me for any consideration.
And ethereum also do have some potential to go high probably.
But I heard about ETH hack recently, do not know about that may impact on ETH if that news was a true event.

What do you prefer to earn?
Both of them have the same chance.but I prefer on bitcoin because it's global digital currency and you can buy anything with bitcoin on some store. ETH it's not different with alt coin.

But I heard about ETH hack recently, do not know about that may impact on ETH if that news was a true event.

Have you looked at the price recently? Lol.

Honestly, because the confidence in eth is so shaken, I would like to be paid in that with my value pegged to fiat. Earn it before the market bottoms out, on the way down. Eventually it will spike, and I feel there would be more upside that with btc, percentage wise. If it was significant value, I'd just choose bitcoin.

I used to think the Etheruem could be a good investment. After the recent DAO hacking, we need to be more careful.
