What is your power supply configuration? It sounds like your controller board is being powered properly, but maybe your ASIC blades aren't for some reason.

As said above. Check all connections and make sure everything is getting power properly. Try switching pci cables around to see if something is wrong with one of them.

sorry had to change username.

I have the Bitmain PSU, I have swapped the cables on the PSD and the others just to check.  The fans is running and everything seems to work except it doesnt hash.  I have also reloaded the latest firmware and rebooted.  The kernel log shows some errors and the last is "FPGA don't code"

I am not familiar at all with Linux.  Below is the log:

well  the s-7 will not run if the controller does not detect the fans.

so play with the 2 fan connections.  sometimes the tach wire which shows the fan speed to the controller is loose.

Played with the connections and looked in the fans.  Nothing was loose.  I put power to individual cards, checked, and still no hasing.  I did this with all three boards 1 at a time, each time powering up and down.....no success.  I think it has to be the control board, but anyone else has a suggestion I will try it.  I appreciate the responses.

Just to check with first miner your AP3 psu is hooked up to 205 volts or more on electricity? Did you purchase a new miner from Bitmain or is it used?

Also are you able to post a link to your miner status page?  How you said you don't know how to insert image if on windows  and recent you can use the "snipping tool" just search for it and it allows to take images, or you can look up screen print/paint combo.  But after throw it up on any standard image site (I personally use photobucket but there are a TON of options).  It wont let you post image directly in forum due to rank but you can post link to image.

I have an S7 doing this exact thing.  I'm thinking something is up with the controller board, but not sure until i receive another one to test.

Ever find a solution to this?

I would try these steps:  change psu, change pool, change worker name, change to static IP.  If still no-go reflash controller board firmware.  If still no hash, disassemble miner, inspecting hash boards for solder defects (signs of overheating) try hash boards one at a time on known good controller.  If still no hash - you may need hash board repair/rework/reflow.

I have no idea how i figured it out, but i did.

Seems that a chip (buck regulator) on the IO controller was having trouble... MP1484EN right next to the small red LED near the 18pin headers. I also had to power on the BeagleBone Board externally with 5v. Seems that something on the IO controller stopped passing power over to the BBB.

Once I had the BBB on, the IO controller still wasnt working right.  The Fans were getting power, and eventually some activity happened on the IO board (red/green activity lights near ethernet jack) thanks to the BBB being on, but the 18pin headers (USB connections) there was nothing passing through to power that side on.  I attached a PickIt3 to the hashboard via the ICSP header and violla!! the red LED lit up again. I separated the 2 boards and hooked the IO controller to 12v, powered on the 12v and started poking around with a volt meter around that buck regulator and suddenly the red LED lit up along with the green LEDs near the reset switches.  I think i accidentally shorted 2 pins for a brief second?  Whatever it was, it told it to work again almost as if it had taken a nap.

For the hell of it, i disconnected all, flashed new hex files to the PICs on the hash boards, connected everything again and reflashed the firmware.  It all works but I still have to power the BBB externally.   Huh
