Is it really true that if someone want to earn big from gambling he need to make a higher bets? Yes he can also loose but if he is lucky enough he can earn big amounts too. People can not make profits with lower bet amounts like .05 etc. you need a higher amounts bets.
If you have a big enough bankroll that allows you to make bigger bets then by all means go for it as successful gamblers usually keep a proper bankroll management and only bet as much as 5% of the total cash they have at their disposal at any time so as to limit their losing streaks and recoup their losses in the long run. Trying to bet big with small bankrolls will always lead to a bad streak and ultimately losing everything so don't even attempt it. I am not saying that it's not possible to luck out and win a big amount from smaller bets using parlays but more often than not this is not the case. So maintaining a proper bankroll management and betting accordingly is the key to success for me.
I find that if you decide that you want to bet, the best scenario is to bet with all the marbles you're prepared to lose. And continue betting with all your winnings and investments.
(Okay, maybe not your initial wager if you want to play it safe on subsequent bets.)
Let's suppose that you bet against a 1% house edge. Your bankroll is $1000, and you wager it all on a 50% chance [payout of 1.98x].
Scenario 1: You lose $1000
Scenario 2: You gain $980.
Let's say you do the same thing with flat bets and bet 10 times on 50% chance. The extremes will be the same, of course. But look.
Let's say that instead of taking 10 bets, it takes 12 bets - with 11 wins and 1 loss thrown in there. There's still a net win of 10 bets.
But your winnings would look like this:
$978
If you're aiming for the same goal, go all in. You lose more money the more you gamble.
Hence: if you want to maximize profit, go for high payouts/wagers and restrict the number of bets you do.
or y'know just don't gamble
