How will Lisk be effected by this Ethereum fiasco? Will it be looked at as the better ethereum? Or will people stay away from it?

It will go down as eth. List will no protect anyone from writing buggy or shitty smart contracts. The same with rootstock for btc.

In some time maybe confidence will go up with smart contracts again, if small projects start appearing here and there, not starting with $200mil ones.

Anyway will see.

Seems to me that someone will need to present a compelling use case for smart contracts and explain how this use case can be secured.

It depends on how speculators react. They may believe that some of these other Blockchain 2.0 smart contract/Dapp/DAO projects can successfully achieve that and so they may bet on the future. Or there might be dejection and caution for some period of time.

It also perhaps depends on who can articulate these matters. Seems Vitalik will be preoccupied for a while with putting out fires. The Lisk group doesn't seem to be articulate enough to explain well. Will Charles H. help them have better communication? Will Lisk obtain the technical help they need with Charles' assistance?

Is Waves able to articulate and is their use of the IOHK Scala block chain code going to all mesh together timely and well?

They missed to ask poloniex to add it to margin trading. So its useless to trade.

Better trade ETH waves or BTC/USD

I think Lisk will eventually have a very high price, but it will take some time. There needs to be some dapps developed...

The IOU thing that trades on Yobit has tanked, but I don't know who's trading that or how it's going to relate to the real deal.  The trend has been down for a lot of coins, and I wouldn't be surprised if waves bites it.

Edit:  The waves IOU at yobit is trading at 80K sat as I write this.
