Vitalik Buterin made a thread on Reddit hours ago claiming that he wanted exchanges to stop all ETH trading from them. In Poloniex, I never saw this happening, when I checked the ETH was still getting traded.

So did trade stop at any time? withdraws stopped? anything?

The fact that Vitalik wanted this is scary enough tho.

Last night (~14 to 18 hours ago), when I first came around and heard the story, he had asked for a stoppage of trading and I saw a post saying "you can still sell at btc-e.com".
It is correct that btc-e.com did not halt trading, but I do not know about other exchanges.

edit:
source:

(outdated since > 1.5 days)

couldn't find it at
https://www.reddit.com/user/vbuterin/

not adding the source looks like a pump&dump troll.

Dude do some research before claiming im bullshiting:

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/buterin-pause-ether-dao-trading/

It was all over the news too so I would expect everyone in here was aware of this. Im just asking if exchanges did actually halt trading.

Still trading on yobit, it looks like.  I've been watching it throughout the day while at work.  It's at 0.0145 as I write this.

Waves and Lisk have been hammered in the past few days as well, but I'm sure this isn't breaking news to y'all.

it was Friday June 17 9:20 am UTC.  That is 39 hours ago.

And the request was canceled within 2 hours,
when they had summed up information about the TheDAO bug,
that no solution is needed until in 27 days,
that it was no Ethereum bug,
and that there are different possible solutions (including a fork) but no funds needed to be lost.

Poloniex was very slow/hardly usable most of Friday
but at one moment at almost 11 am UTC i saw ETH & DAO markets listed in grey/closed, just to be displayed as opened again seconds later.
That makes sense since the request was already dated by then.
