Amen! Btc uptrends still tend the indicate alt downtrends. Until all this fork bullshit and the halving is done, you most likely aren't going to be buying the cheapest eth you could have. Basically, price is in the air til next month IMO.

About ETH it is different. I still think it is too early to rebuy. Investors need to be reinsured first. ETH dev's have to come with an official statement saying clearly what's their plan.

I thought DAO is hacked, the Ethereum is stolen. But there is a possibility that the stolen funds will be frozen.

There is 80% chance that the "stolen" funds will be frozen. More than 80% of the minining power support the soft fork.

That could be true. The price rise may be caused by actions of very few but very rich whales, not mass adoption.

There is no mass adoptions at the moment. For the bitcoin, I have used it to buy things. For the Ethereum, I did not use it.

I have seen a couple of gift card places offering it as a payment option. once again that gets turned straight into bitcoin and then usd.

bitcoin's nowhere near mass adoption as well of course but it does have some real world applications right now.

eth is hot air and speculation. that's more than enough to make you money but people's profit hopes depend on a tiny number of whales and nothing else. i guess you can say the same about bitcoin but at least it's spread wider and further which counts for alot.

DAO is toast but I do not think Ether is going away. High price of Ether was $21.48 now trading at $14. While bitcoin could triple to $2000 in the next few years I think the upside to Ether is 10X. Two scenarios:

1) Ether rises and breaks the all time high. Wait for a pullback and buy.
2) Ether drops below $10, start buying and average down.

Watch the market cap of Ether. It is now no. 2 and if the difference in market cap between bitcoin and ether closes consider moving some bitcoin into ether.

I am thinking that these are one of the lower prices we are seeing as a result of rush dump and there should be a price correction soon - specially for DAO which will most likely be hard forked and so we would get a lot of Ethereum.

Ah, how i wish i didnt take everyones emotional comments about the two coins at the time and put my money into it. I would have seen a 60-70% return today. Well, lesson learnt, this aint the place to ask.

years ago i always used to read the poste here to get info on what people ar investing in and whats the current altcoin trends now its all fudsters telling you to do one thing while they do the oposite

me i bought me 100K of dao and 200 more eth on the drop last week sold half for a nice profit put that into waves and rise for longterm bets.  Diversify bro thats all i can say 30% btc 50% eth and the rst of my portfolio is in rise waves lisk and dcr

Cool. You got a lot of bitcoin to do that. I am just a starter with this kind of trend so I am hoping that someday I could do the same buying some alts that will provide good profit. I have some LSK and ETH now.

The soft fork was a no go, as specified by the two posts that you quoted. It is amazing how much denial many Eth bagholders are capable of.
