I understand the motivation because if the rest of the DAO is drained tonight to a different address they have to issue a new soft fork. That said did anyone take time to discuss the long term implications? The power this will give to a handful of individuals is staggering.

As far as I am aware ETH never planned to be as decentralised as either of the Chinese BTC miners. Nor as crippled as a 1MB block size. Here is hoping your medical observers can prescribe you stronger medication.
