An $11 price drop in around 2 hours? That is insanity, even with a price recovery....

...you should all probably panic.  Grin

I totally and wholeheartedly agree. We are going to single digits for sure. $20 is the interim target.

I agree, this is going to freefall any second now, they have been trying to keep it up by using bots to steady the price, you can see the type of functions used are very non-human like. The sad part is that it's not play money for everybody, some people actually believe in this and have invested hard earned money, so sad : /

panics are a natural response to loss (damage control) which also open new doors to investors willing to pay the price at that time, however, when an individual has any significant control of ANY kind over a market of this size time is of the essence and only that individual knows when and how much it will rise/drop. That is called manipulation and its no fun, also people will and already have begun to lose trust in bitcoin, now it's just a matter of time... so buy everything you think will make profit only to find yourself with a wallet full of useless coins one morning Smiley

just stay put and wait until the dust has cleared.

You'll never be able to get out with any sensible result if you try to react on a quick market movement.

Fucking A....MtGox is useless, especially during crashes (which I am sure is just a coincidence  Roll Eyes ).

After the dust settles and we are back in single digits (or wherever we end up), I'm moving everything to bitstamp or somewhere.

mtgox is completely tradeable if of course you are not trying to do panic selling or buying. orders are executed in the order they were created.

I'm doing neither.

An hour long lag like there was earlier this morning is ridiculous for an exchange, period.  It would piss me off even more if I'd had my bot on (because it wouldn't have allowed me to trade or my bot to move with the market). Matching and executing orders in a timely fashion is their job, and the fact that they fail to do this on every crash makes it look like they are trying to prop up the market.
