TOR is much better option than VPN
VPN is much faster than TOR. TOR gave me migraines w/ its slowness.

VPNs are cheap.

VPN is safer and stable Wink
I don't think VPNs are safer then TOR as TOR is open source and has ways to prevent any of the nodes from attacking you while VPNs only use one node and have a central point of possible attack. You much trust any VPN that you use while you don't need to trust any TOR nodes.

Since information transmission between exit nodes and the web is unencrypted, you can expose yourself to the attacker if you do not use a secure SSL site. Even so, vulnerabilities can exist in SSL, such as the heartbleed.

hidemyass accepts bitcoins

they are one of the VPN providers with the most servers&IPs

a server in almost every at least moderately known country

they keep the logs a while too long but if it's specific country IPs you're looking for, this is a VPN to go to

How do you know they are the most secure servers? I don't think they are I think the service which this website uses is one of the best and most secure around hidemyass have been criticized because they have been found to keep records of ips etc.

The problem with VPNs is that we must assume attackers are capturing every packet on each side of those VPNs. With timing analysis, any substantial amount of time, it is probably possible to deanonymize the traffic flows. VPNs do help on the local side though. Your ISP and the guy sipping a latte next to you would be hard pressed to figure out exactly what you're doing online. Facebook and Google probably still know though unless you disable cookies and other ways to fingerprint your internet applications.

Not at the moment, I've tried a few free VPNs and they seemed to work quite well.

Most of the time I'll just use Tor for browsing the interwebs.

True.
It is reliable to bypass IP or country restrictions with VPN, but it is better to use Tor if you want to do something "not so nice". Wink

Btguard, com accepts bitcoin and is what i used they mask your identity for tor networks like proxys i also recommend proxys too just incase you leave ur torrent downloader on on your network. If you are tired of the 6 point law now that what people used. I also read about seedboxes but thats for extreme torrent users. Plus Seedboxes are not cheap.

But with all that aside its another form of address that you can used on the internet for example if you were kicked out of an irc chatroom banned in one ip you can used the vpn to go back in. But thats an example i wouldn't recommend getting banned for trolling.
