One miner on terracoins have 51%+ power

As of now, global hash rate is 51.4270GH/s
One miner, on Coinotron is hashing at a rate of 45.813GH/s

Is it bad?  Probably he's not malicious, but he could if he wanted...

Edit: Ah, he just left!

well unless they freely trade their coins wouldn't it just end up with the ppcoin economy collapsing as users would just go elsewhere?

Maybe someone testing out their new asic? Roll Eyes

EDIT:  All of TRC so far is worth only a few BTC, so it's not a problem- yet of course. For a big chunk of time at the start of LTC one miner had more then 51% of the network and that turned out okay. I suspect they see a chance to plow it for a few days and then go back to their normal business and save what they made till it's worth more. It they were trying to 51% the network, (which they aren't) you wouldn't see them on our network. They would be grinding away in private to outrun the main chain. Here they are on Coinotron- which means they are actually SECURING the network.

more or less retired.

An ASIC perhaps? That would be interesting to see! Testing an ASIC on TRC. :-)

A large vga miner seems more likely. But I suppose that an ASIC built for BTC could mine TRC too.
BTW: today I moved all my 5 Radeons to mine TRC, and I like it.

I'd do it if i had an ASIC... those things would be one big alt coin vacuum! just mine different coins for 30 minutes here and there and get the equivalent of what i'd get in a day at 2.6 ghash.
