I've been reading lately a lot about LaVey's atheistic satanism and I can tell you, it a lot more reasonable in some ways than any other religion.

That's a theistic satanism, and it's as stupid as any other theistic religion. LaVey's satanism is more of a philosophy than a religion. I'd suggest you to read a little about it.

Also this Church of Satan with LaVey etc was only founded i think like 60+ years ago.
It's said that is the oldest known organized religious group claiming to be "Satanists"
Where as the other Christianity ones are way older of course.

The so called "good" side gets a lot of attention.. the bad side is always just assumptions and guessing.
What would be the opposing side of Christianity ? LOL

God is more interested in you making heaven.
Seek first the kingdom of God and follow His commands (believe in Jesus) and you will receive everything you need to fulfill your destiny on earth Plus you will go to heaven and not hell after death.

There may have been some grains of truth in the bible but i think it's mostly made up bullshit.
It is simply a collection of stories ripped off from other sources.
Such as the entire premise of Christianity which was stolen from Egyptians and many others.
Who all had their own baby Jesus and single god etc.. many hundreds of years before Christianity thought of it.

The arc of the covenant was already made by others hundreds of years before the Christians made one.
We know because we dug them out of pyramids etc.

I could go on for ages about the crap exposed with the bible..
I think a lot of it is simply made up and the timing of things are shifted.

A key part of the assumption is Christians believe in God, Jesus and Heaven being real.

Your OP is in vague in regards to what you consider the alternative of Satanism.
Based on your replies you are indicating that you want to argue Satanism vs Christianity (more specifically Catholic Christianity).

Yes, they are. Satan and Jesus are part of the same religion, and the Church of Satan does not believe in either of them as a supernatural deity.

This thread was not a poll, but an attempt to start arguments i.e. trolling.

Maybe the title of the thread should have been:   "I'm smarter than you because I'm going to join the Church of Satan!"
The first post could have been something like this:

The issue that I had with it is the attitude of the presentation being forceful.
"Here is this information, you are an idiot if you don't read it. You are also an idiot if you don't believe it."

I agree. Many people are ignorant about many things. But the way to educate them is not by telling them they are an idiot.
That will immediately turn them away from whatever it is that you are trying to enlighten them to.

I agree, but I try not to let the cover render my judgment. I try to live by: A heart until proven a spade.

I do like what you are trying to do (show people a different way to think about things), I just felt the delivery was a little off-putting.

As I re-read this before I post, I realize that I sound like I think I'm better than other people(I'm not),
but notice I say throughout this post "I try", well, in the "real world" I don't "try" that hard and I'm pretty much an asshole.
