Hello,

I am trying mining out for the first time, and having a really hard time getting setup and working.

First of all, I am GPU mining on a 750 ti.  Don't care if it is profitable...  I just want to get it working for a bit before possibly buying better equipment.

I signed up at multipool.us.

From there, they suggested to not use cgminer anymore.  Suggested sgminer.  I downloaded from the link provided.

I setup my account/wallets.  Good to go.

I attempted to make a batch file.  Start C:\sgminer\sgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3334 -u USERNAME.1 -p x

I obviously used my username in place of username with .1 for my worker number.  The website told me to use "x" for the password.  I tried it with x and with my actual password.  All the batch file does is open command prompt for a split second, I assume enter the line, then close.  I get no readout from sgminer, and no activity in the multipool web interface.

So I manually enter the command line into command prompt.  I see what I assume is sgminer open, again for a split second.  No info displaying in command prompt.

So I manually open sgminer.exe.  Enter the url tcp://us.multipool.us:3334 then my username with the .1 then password x and actual password.  Again tried both.

Still nothing in the multipool web interface.

Here is what sgminer displays:
sgminer 5.4.0-nicehash-1 - Started [2016-06-22 03:42:47] - [0 days 00:30:59]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ST:1 SS:0 NB:12 LW:1982 GF:0 RF:0
Connected to us.multipool.us (stratum) diff 256 as user USERNAME.1           replaced with my username
Block: a9866621... Diff:3.11G Started: [04:15:40] Best share:0

GPU 0:             | 25.82K/25.15Kh/s | R: 0.0% HW: 882 WU:0.000/m I: 8

Thanks in advance!

edit:  I got command prompt to work, kinda.  if I cd to the folder sgminer is in, then

sgminer.exe  --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3334 -u USERNAME.1 -p x     i get an unknown command error on --scrypt
if I enter
sgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3334 -u USERNAME.1 -p x    it runs just fine, but still gives no active users on the multipool interface

The 750 Ti is an NVidia device. You have to use ccminer if you want to see some decent hashrate. The 750 Ti is profitable no matter where you live.

Ok I am trying ccminer.  still no results in the multipool workers or my hash rate on their web interface.

I entered the following:
ccminer -a scrypt -o stratum+tcp://us.multipool.us:3334 -u USERNAME.1 -p x

it configured itself, found my video card, and started working on blocks.

I am averaging about 233 kK/s according to ccminer, which is much better.

I keep getting an error though.
GPU #0: ASUS GTX 750 TI, 230.70kH/s
accepted:0/8 (0.00%), 232.73 kH/s booooo
reject reason: Submit() takes exactly 6 arguments (7 given)

Any ideas?

I switched over to the beta version of ccminer.  I had to update my nvidia drivers to get it to load.

Guess what, its working now!  Just got my 2nd accepted, and I am now showing up on the website!

Thanks a lot Maskedman!

You really should move away from multipool.us, that pool is for asic miners.

Try nicehashminer, that is an easy way to start. Not most profitable but easy, you only need BTC address to begin with.

Thank you for the advice.  I am going to stick it out where I am at for a few days, mainly because I fought for hours to get it running.  I will see how profitable it is here, then I will try nicehashminer as well.  I have it downloaded and waiting!
