What is everyone's opinion on the impact of ASICs on the altcoins?

It seems to me that the smart ASIC buyers will be mining whatever's got the highest profitability ratio, will this have an effect of bringing parity to the SHA-256 altcoin prices?

If this happens it seems to me that LTC will be the only unaffected coin and may wind up remaining the most profitable to mine.

Thoughts?

Multipool - Always mine the most profitable coin - Scrypt, X11 or SHA-256!

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

This is true. Some people have not allowed this to set in their mind yet. Those buying asic are locked in to mining SHA256 chains. No switching can be done unless they have GPUs. But even in that case bitcoin gpu miners are getting squeezed out by ASIC miners.
