In light of the coming Bitcoin collapse, I have a new proposition:

Now that here are some major inequities with the current Bitcoin system, which I why I am I proposing a new one – Capitalist Coins (or Capcoins for short).  In the branch I am working on, when a block solution is found, an equal number of Capcoins are distributed to anyone who is connected to the network at the time.  Additionally, some will be deposited into a fund that will pay out to people who were not on at the time, but were recently connected.  I believe this is a much fairer system then the current system, because ASIC users would be able to contribute more for everyone (there would be no difficulty adjustment – more power = more rewards for everyone) rather than using their rigs just for themselves.

Would anyone be interested in a using a system that promotes true capitalism and is much fairer?

Before you say this system won’t work, I can guarantee high returns once enough people switch over.

How is that at all capitalist?  Bitcoin is capitalist; capital investment in ASICs is rewarded to the investors, not to everyone.  What you're proposing is much more communist because you claim the proceeds from mining belong to the community at large.

I'm pretty sure this must be a troll thread.

Hmm everyone gets equal payout  Roll Eyes

What would be the incentive to mine coins then?? Also, couldn't a person game that system by having multiple nodes on the network?

IMHO, seems like a wishy-washy idea at best.

In light of the comingbitcoincollapseTM you should give me all your coins for my canadian pennies!

Seriously though, this cannot be serious. Nothing about this makes the slightest economical sense. If everyone gets the same amount of currency then the currency becomes worth less every time there is a reward. Sad truth of money dude.

It will not work - why would a miner spend his energy to make other people rich?

Its not April 1st for another few weeks! Smiley

ralree - I'm not even going to dignify that with a response.

kooke - The equal payouts ensure that that the currency is inflationary, and if that was properly limited people would have an incentive to spend more.  Yes, I realize it needs some work.

baggyp - See above answer; people have no reason to spend a deflationary currency - they become a commodity.  This ensures that Capcoins are actually used as currency and not hoarded.

nwbitcoin - 1) The miner will also be getting rich.  2) That feeling of know you are helping others (but more importantly, the more resources you have, the more you can adjust inflation).

Its socialism in everything but name!

I wouldn't not sign up for it.  The miners are helping other people as things are because they are creating the coins in the first place.  Taxing them for the common good is no good to anyone.

Ever wondered why socialism doesn't work?  Its because they always run out of other people's money!

Not adjusting the difficulty is broken.

Liquidcoin doesn't adjust difficulty. It results in faster and faster and faster blocks, colliding with each other, almost all becoming orphans, the orphan rate climbs instead of the difficulty climbing. Ugly mess.

So forget not adjusting difficulty.

Giving me free coins just for being connected is fine, I'll take them. If you wanna send me some BTC, NMC, DVC, GRP, IXC, I0C, CLC while you're at it (you can merged mine them alongside Capcoin if you make Capcoin merged mine able) I'll happily accept them too. Heck you're welcome to send along some GeistGeld, PPCoin, Freicoin while you're at it, heck anything you got! Smiley

if i wanted to use a currency that is inherently inflationary and was less and less appealing to hoard I'd just stick with paper fiat.

What a super idea! All alt coin development is absolutely welcome! This is the type of post I exclusively reserve for extra exclamation points! It's not quite an all cap post. I'll wait until the code is released for all caps!!!

Any significantly advanced cryptocurrency is indistinguishable from Ponzi Tulips.

You should, because his response was spot on.

Thanks.  If you had an address in your sig, I'd hit it up.

The stupidity of this idea made me resurrect from the grave Wink

TradeFortress has left me negative trust and has provided no proof to substantiate his claim. He has done this to discredit me as I am investigating him.
