However if you still wanna be stupid and send them a message (you need to send some bitcoin to them even 0.01 cent) and if  use blockchain.info new wallet there is a feature which says add message. The message does not ask for any bitcoin - It asks you t send the amount you received on the 26th (this was day of last payment) + email address associated with account. Not Bitcoin just the number of Bitcoin you received on the 26th, for example 0.25565623 Bitcoin , joesoap@gmail.com.
