There I was thinking of bitcoin and it is contained in the title of this post. Is bitcoin can be used as a method of payment online?
Seeing that bitcoin has prices that always change when it is used as a payment method definitely prices will change as well. That would make traders must often change the prices in order not to incur a loss if the price drops. What do you think ? Is bitcoin can be used as a method of payment online?

There are already merchants that accepts bitcoin as payment method. Bg whales will not make some trend to increase or decrease the price just because of that. Also companies that offers full bitcoin services are not affected with the price change since they are dealing with bitcoin most of the time e.g BTC1 = BTC1. |

yes it can be used as an online payment method and it is being used as an online payment method already. the biggest company that recently started accepting bitcoin was Valve (steam). what these companies can do is that they mostly accept bitcoin through a payment processor service thingy like bitpay which then pays valve the money not bitcoin so they get their money while customers are paying bitcoin. |

Yes, I think the Bitcoin can clearly be used as an online payment method, since it cost low transactions fees compared to banks, and fast transactions. Me, I save some Bitcoins to buy a steam game. This is especially to try the online payment system. |

I think you can buy about anything you need with BTC nowadays... Maybe the vendors don't accept BTC directly, but services like purse.io, the service of shopemnl, prepaid credit cards, vouchers on this site,... allow you to use your BTC for about anything.

I'm pretty sure most Bitcoin transactions are from online purchases. Many companies allow merchants to accept BTC and instantly change it to USD.
For example, I want to buy something worth 0.01 btc. the Merchant uses Coinbase. Coinbase accepts my BTC payment to pay for the invoice, while the merchant gets the payment in USD from bitcoin, which $6.57, minus the Coinbase fee.

There are many sites where Bitcoin is already used as a method of payment online. I think in the nearest future all sites will accept Bitcoin and those who won't will be losing money. |

Yeah there are places but not all that many. There's some sort of bitcoin debit card, too, which I think allows you to use btc for anything. I've never used it, as I don't care to spend what coin I have. Why spend it? I have fiat to buy things with.

It CAN be used as a payment method but it doesnt look like thats going to be the route its going to take unless its for big orders. It will be interesting to see how segwit manages micro payments . More often than not bitcoin appears to be either an asset that people buy and hold for the hope of an increase in value or purely just to trade and make profit,

bitcoin is the simplest for paying things online, since you dont need to upload your identity and prove who you are, that makes bitcoin being popullar method of payment right now, about it's volatile i think there are some service like bitpay that can convert your bitcoin imidiately to fiat when you make a transaction, so i have any doubt that bitcoin can be used as payment method infact bitcoin belong to be method of payment. |
