i think it is not such a difficult job to find that if bitcoin is legal in a particular place or country or not. i think if you visit this website you can find it easy that either bitcoin is legal in Angolia or not.

i personally have no idea about this. but i can say that it may be there as it is not legal in so many other countries like Russia libnan and so many other countries. i think yet most of the countries have not yet legalize bitcoin but still we can see people here from all most all countries of the world.

Most people who spend bitcoins in countries where it is banned, use it for cross-border transfers and I think the reason some countries ban cryptocurrencies is because they do not totally understand the benefits of the coin on their economy: It will generate new jobs for miners-to-be.

yes bit will have a bad effect on their local currency that is why they are not allowing people to use or to do trade in bitcoin or in any other crypto currencies.

Afaik Bitcoin is legal in vast majority of countries. As long as certain country doesn't specifically say it's illegal, you're free to use it (as private individual). Unregulated and illegal are not the same thing.

Bitcoin at most places is, not legal nor illegal. Not much governments are aware of this technology so they've not classified it in anyway. Till there is any law present, you should be able to use bitcoin freely. I'd not care of this question if I were you BTW.

Some of you guys seem a bit confused. There's no country in the world, and never was, that would list all the things that are legal/allowed. Therefore, by general definition, what's not classed as illegal is legal.

Therefore, by general definition, what's not classed as illegal is legal. yes you can easily understand about a country from the statement given by the resident of that country who clearly explain the position of bitcoin in their country. for example in our country the govt has yet given no statement about bitcoin either it is legal or illegal. so we consider it as legal and use it.

but i think they have no idea about bitcoin or there will be a very little people who know about bitcoin therefore they have yet not taken any action about bitcoin. once they realize that the majority of people are doing transaction without paying the tax they must take some action about bitcoin.

Don't care about that bitcoin is legal or illegal in your place just use it as no one will now that you are using it, because bitcoin is anonymous, that is the reason i like the anonymity of bitcoin sometime.

And how exactly can you use it if it was illegal? You couldn't pay any merchant within your country or freely exchange it to fiat. Unfavourable regulations won't kill Bitcoin, but they could seriously cripple your ability to use it.

Question is, for someone living in Angola who wants to buy bitcoins, how does he exchange fiat with bitcoins? Most of these exchanges only use USD, GBP, EURO, what if you can't get a seller on localbitcoins.com willing to be paid in your fiat?
Most Angolans don't know much about bitcoins: It's not quite widespread in Africa.

Unregulated and illegal are not the same thing. yes you are free as a private individual. but when you are living in a society then you are bound there. you have to follow the customs of the your society other wise living there will become more difficult for you . there for if you are living in a country you have to follow the law and rules, regulation of that country. so if bitcoin is banned in a country then it is your moral duty to fully the rules there.
