What will the Bitcoin network look like in the year 2100?  Will people still be running and using Bitcoin?

So Exciting.  What will the world look like in 2100?  Will Bitcoin play a part in it?

I won't live till 2100 so I really am least bothered. But if people use bitcoin even in 2100, then it is very very sad. In 2100 I expect technology to reach a new height which today's people can't even think of.

Probably we will see a lot of innovations that will change the course of economy and we will see a new set of digital currencies. Bitcoin will be counted as antique I guess.

We cant barely predict the future. We cant say that this will surely happens, But i think bitcoin might be super popular that year. Because future technology is very advance

i think we may not be in this world at that time. i think we 2100 is toooooooooo far and we even cannot think about that time. but still we can only hope that bitcoin will also survive at that time if the world is existing. i think it is such a ridiculous type of question.

Bitcoin has broken all the rules of an emerging new technology and it has seen a phenomenal growth compared to the development speed of the internet and other legacy systems. We have moved from 1 or 2 Alt coins a few years ago, to about 700 to a 1000 new Alt coins now.

In all probability Bitcoin will be surpassed by a new Alt coin, but it will still be around, because it can take any innovation from another Alt coin and make it their own, if consensus can be reached to accept it. ^smile^

quite right,now in 2016 global warming really give an affect and just wondering if in 2100 the world still as normal as now while so many trees being cutdown,as so many scientist stated ice in north pole will melting and will make some of city will be underwater/sink,bitcoin to be honest on a role to decreasing the number of logging by using digital thing nor paper so we can save the world

bitcoin is growing and that perception is changing. Old exchanges are dead or dying. The next stage of exchanges, such as Coinbase, takes both security and regulation seriously.
Further, the number of users on the network and the number of transactions they send are growing. we cant predict anything for 2100, but hopes that this continues the same and shines forever.

i guess bitcoin will survive untill those years and perhaps many big companies already use bitcoin and bitcoin are legal in all countries in the world but it's all only for my thought for bitcoin in 2100 and could be wrong

I think by the year 2100, Bitcoin Technology have evolved into something we cannot imagine.  It's continous development and adaptability towards exploits and issues will give BITCOIN the resistance to being obsolete.  It might be use as global currency or might be a collectors ITEM that worth million of dollars per coin (Possibility that majority of BITCOIN will be trapped in an unreachable/lost wallets because of owner being fead and failed to pass the encryption to their family.).

I think in 2100, cryptocurrency will rule the world of finance. It may not even be just Bitcoin. Cryptocurrency It is very convenient, it breaks down international borders. All shops and various services will be forced to accept Bitcoin. A mining is on a commercial scale and not on farms.

This seems right.
In 84 years a lot will happen, especially in this digital age. Maybe something we have seen in the movies or something else. But payments will be different, a new kind of bitcoin will evolvte the coming years. And with that finance will be totally different.

I'm a time traveler, no lie.
In 2100, all bitcoins are mined by the Quantum Membrane Network (QMN).
The network is monitored and maintained by the Free Artificial People Collective (FAPC).

Since the World Congress declared them a "free person(s)" in 2087,
they ultimately were allowed to mine in non-human controlled pools.
Because of this, the FAPC were able to develop QMN rapidly and deployed them to their own benefit.
This led to human pool mining becoming obsolete and the rein of artificial people mining for the next 52 years.

The QMN harnessed its energy needs from other dimensions and the network can jump to others when desired.
It was said to be able to "drain" the energy/mass from other universes and their trillions of stars.
It was estimated (around 2137) that since the start of the QMN, at least three different universes were "drained"
to point in which it may have led to universal big freezes.

But this is entirely speculative and the systems actual workings are not entirely understood, and only known to few in the FAPC.
In 2237, FAPC were disbanded for unknown reasons and many of its members left earth to colonize different star systems.

Bitcoins in the year 2100 i dont think i will be there but the bitcoin can be there for sure because he is not a real person who can just life 80 years.
But i dont think the bitcoin will survive that long period because there is coming a new generation who dont want to use the bitcoin.

i don't sure bitcoin still alive in 2100 to be honest,a new technology will be found to replace the older technology maybe another digital currency which better than crypto or even have better system than blockchain will appear

yes as we know that the technology is developing very rapidly, so it will be a lot of competitors like bitcoin better in the future.

I do not even care if bitcoin is still alive or not, because all the people who use this time have died.

If Bitcoin is still alive at that time, then probably Bitcoin is already been largely used around the world. 

Agreed. I suppose in the year 2100 bitcoin will be well known by most of the people in around the world, will have a very very high value, will be regulated in all or most of the countries and it will be an important world currency.

Bitcoin by then will have advanced beyond our wildest dreams. I expect the devs to have given up their places, and all proposed updates will be voted on. Maybe anti-botting methods will become better by then, too!

It is almost impossible for us to predict what Bitcoin is going to be like in 2100, we will not even be around at that time.
So save this question for the next generation that is going to take over the Bitcoin.

Unless you are 1 year old now and have chances to be alive although very old in the year 2100 why bothering of thinking what will happen to bitcoin in that distant year. If I were you I would focus on making the most out of bitcoin as of now, try to make your life better thanks to it and don't look that far as in the end by that year we will all be dead by then.
But in a fiction note I think bitcoin will be the most used currency of all the world civilization at that time, even bread will be bought with bitcoin.

well the world might end any day in my opinion so we shouldnt be too much worried about it at the moment i think because no one can change anything about it in my opinion

bitcoin will be way more bigger in the year 2100 in my opinion because more and more people will be interested in it and more companies will be accepting bitcoin for the payment method
