I am new to bitcoin and as my computer cant seem to generate even a fraction of a bitcoin with its horrible gpu, I've been running litecoin. From surveys and fountains I have generated like 0.000526 bitcoins (I know, nothing) but is there any way to convert it to litecoins? I tried an exchange site and the fee was .0005 bitcoins making it worthless, I found another exchange I cant seem to get to function, and I can't post in the trading forum because I'm new. Although even then I dont know if anyone would be interested in trading such small amounts (its like trading a penny) but I wanted to try all this stuff out so I dont know what to do. is BTC to LTC not a good idea anyway?

You'd be better off posting your address and asking someone to send you a litecoin satoshi (is there a real term for that? a coblee? Tongue)

“First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.”  -- Mahatma Gandhi

Average time between signing on to bitcointalk: Two weeks. Please don't expect responses any faster than that!

well, you are free to send me all the Satoshis of "Coblees" you want Tongue

But seriously, is there no way to do this? What if bitcoin crashes and litecoin goes up and I can make a 3 cent profit?

Thank you donor. That was very kind of you. >.< I wont beg, sorry forum person. I'm a anarcho-capitalist guy so I want to earn my keep. Back to the original question, is there a technical reason why you shouldn't trade such small amounts, like a built in fee, or is it just not done because it seems pointless?

It's due to the fees involved, which discourages spammy transactions.
